Pretty sure this update killed incoming calls on all 3 iPhones (14Pro, 13mini, and SE 3rd gen) I updated. Carrier is Xfinity Mobile and now all incoming calls go directly to voicemail on all 3 devices. Sent Apple feedback - no response yet. Tried all kinds of fixes including restoring phones, replacing esim etc w/o any luck. Never had any major issues with prior betas. Don't even want to call XM support - never had a good experience with them in the past. Anyone else have this or similar issues?
Try going to settings…phone…live voicemail ….off.
Make sure "silence unknown callers" is off.
I had a similar problem. Hope this helps.

I expect battery drain issues until the RC. Have had no cloud/Message storage issues to speak of, for me.
Exactly this. We’ve got it on 20 devices and it’s running good.

As others have said, the issues are probably only hitting 5% of the users of this board, but as this thread is for bugs, it’s heavily skewed towards sounding bad.

This is the most stable beta in years.

The OP could just wait until next week and put the RC on.

Does restoring back to iOS 16 resolve it? If not, then it’s likely your carrier at fault.

I've reset network settings on all 3 devices numerous times w/o any change. I've checked all the settings to make sure nothing is forcing the incoming calls to VM. Totally crazy!:mad::mad::mad::mad:
You should not update the 3 Devices!, at least you should leave one without an update...

I’m not sure if this is a bug or a “feature” but my devices connected to the personal hotspot disconnect when my iPhone locks. 14PM b8

Thanks but no change. It seems that it's may be only on incoming calls among my iPhones. Xfinity Mobile tech support was able to make calls to 2 of my 3 iPhones running IOS 17 beta 8 that I was able to answer. The 3rd (13mini) continued going to vm. I was also able to receive calls from my wife's iPhone 14 which is on another carrier which should tell me something isn't right with XM contrary to what they tell me.

I used to be able to test the beta updates by calling my iPhones from each other to ensure they were working properly (i.e. receiving and making calls etc). Something must have broken with beta 8.

Thinking about updating to the iOS 17 beta tonight from 16. I use my phone heavily for work so I don’t want any phone/messaging bugs, and I’m taking a trip this weekend so I need semi decent battery life for that. Any recommendations or thoughts?
I’ve been using it since day 1 and have had no issues daily driving it apart from an annoying keyboard bug in the first 3 betas that has long been fixed since. Battery is a lot better than the 16 release I was on previously, I believe 16.4.something.

Go to the Stickers menu in iMessage,, scroll all the way to the right , and hit edit. If you delete any apps from there, it will remove entire app from your phone. It’s not just Reddit. It’s every app I have that also offers stickers. Taco Bell, Chewy, Reddit, eBay…

That's why I say some don't belong in that grouping. Taco Bell, for example, should be with the other grouping. Where you tap the +, scroll down to "More". Those can not be deleted.

It’s not just Reddit, it’s every app in the list.

The Weather Network, Flipp, Fantasical, Flipp, Mini Metro, and even the Fitness app by Apple are affected. Seems like an Apple iOS issue.

I have 33 sticker apps in that section. Only 4 actually have an app icon to delete. And the Fitness app can't be deleted. I think those should be in the other group, that can not be deleted. There's 2 different lists.

Will there be any more public beta updates before the final official release? I like to switch to the official release once it launches, but stay on beta until then so I don’t want to miss a last beta update by turning off the beta too soon

You'll get a public beta release of the RC shortly after the keynote, which is also very likely the official release version the public will get a week later

Add to that the ongoing issue of Siri popping up asking what you want or trying to answer when you never queried Siri in the first place.

The moment they announced the dropping of "Hey" from "Siri" I KNEW this was going to be a problem.

How did I know? Cuz Apple has been on a roll of making things worse instead of better.

Doesn't with me. Phone locked and my laptop continues to stay connected. That's how it's always worked for me.

Yeah…would make no sense that you’d need to do something to keep your phone awake when tethering is designed to let you NOT use your phone.

My status bar is still randomly acting up on the Home Screen.

Need to reboot phone to fix it

Always been that way for me. Connection always drops as soon as the iPhone providing the hotspot falls asleep. Need to set stand by to never and turn the brightness all the way down, otherwise the connected device looses connection after a few minutes.

I always just assumed that’s how Apple wants it to work. Apparently not? But that’s how it’s always been with me and friends. (I hardly ever share, mostly on vacation and it’s always been this annoying way)

They haven't dropped the "Hey"; they added a new option of summoning Siri by just saying "Siri". It can be disabled.

I've currently left it on, but when watching TV I've noticed that David Attenborough seems able to wake my Siri up occasionally. I think it's at the end of the documentary when he talks about the "series".

No, it works just fine for me locked. If nobody is connected it’ll turn off, but if someone is, they remain connected. always worked that way for me. Very strange.
