Why so generous Apple on the trade ins? Was it this much last year?
If I traded in now I’d have less than half price to pay for a new iPhone 15 Pro. Trade in would be the 14 Pro.
• Not expecting great sales for this model?
• Components and metals becoming eve more scarce?
• or this greatly increases their 0% carbon emotions by 2030 target?

Oh ok. Maybe it’s because there’s £100 off on the UK it seems. iPhones are the same price this year. But still not and accurate price conversation from the US price. We get spanked here.
17.0 will more than likely be a newer build when released publicly. Version released today will be version shipped on new phones. 17.0.1 will be a day 1 install for these new devices. With more than likely 17.0.2 a public release that will get all devices on the same version within 2 weeks of release..
17.1 beta comes out on day 1 of iOS 17 public release. We will get our first look of the new journal app.
If you plan on getting an iPhone 15, don’t hop on the beta as you probably will have problems restoring from backup.

iOS 17 is very solid so far! Much better than 16 already.

That's not a show-stopper. If it gets fixed at all, it will be 17.01
No RC 2 if Apple is releasing iOS 17 public Monday. My guess is iOS 17.1 beta 1 Tuesday.RC 2 maybe, but not 17.1

It's still possible for Monday's build to be a higher build number than RC.
You’re only going to see an RC2 if there’s a serious problem. And we likely would have seen it before Friday afternoon. So absent something catastrophic, they are go for public release on Monday at 10am PDT.
It's also possible that we could get different build on public release on Monday, but being honest I'd highly doubt about it.
I think we had that last year, that it was a slightly newer build. I’d not rule that out.
RC2 has clearly been ruled out, as they didn’t release one, and they’re not gonna release one on a Saturday or Sunday.
