17.0.2 still isn't being pushed to the beta channels so 17.1 is likely coming this week.
Because it’s not a beta. It’s a release version so only pushed to release channel. Also that will have nothing to do with 17.1 being pushed or not.

Public releases are never available OTA if you have beta updates enabled and set to Developer Beta or Public Beta.

If I recall correctly, in the past when there was a significant amount of time between betas and the public release was newer than the most recent beta version they would push the public releases to you even if you had a beta profile. It's rare that a beta isn't active so it wouldn't have happened often.

Since there's now a new system in place it may not be relevant regardless.

Not that I can recall, you had to wait for the next beta after the GM, and now RC. There obviously were some people that manually update to the public release after switching their software update off from beta. Yes there were times we waited up to 2 weeks until a beta appeared while some patches address issues on the public releases. I was never worries about malware or other oddities that impacted my usage. I was always backed up on regular intervals in case of something happening.

Hopefully they don’t stop signing any of the versions of iOS 17 for a while. Seems like they all have their own problems. Will be nice to pick your poison and downgrade if necessary; if not just downgrade back to iOS 16 entirely!

I have to say Ios 17 though has been the most stable release of the last few years. I don't know if yall remember 15 but it was a disaster

seems that we won't get 17.1 today ... maybe tomorrow. really hope they won't postpone it for the next week.

How could it be postponed when it’s not actually got a set release date?

It’s always weird when people say ‘delayed’ or ‘postponed’ for a beta, just cos it’s not coming when they expect/want it to. It’s the wrong thing to say unless Apple set a date and then it doesn’t release on that date.

Anyone else see this bug?

On my 14 Pro, if I go to the camera from the Lock Screen, switch it to Portrait photos and turn my phone landscape. I take some photos of my cats and the orientation is all messed up, slows my iPhone down quite a bit.

The photos still come out fine though.

I wonder if Apple will fix the Missing Ringtones & alerts bug or if this was on purpose. Wasn’t an issue all summer.

However, I found this version is smoothest one yet and enjoying it.
And in new 15 pro it's almost working like a magical flow😍

yeah I hope we just get a new facelift at least if we dont get new features, I just feel the same Home Screen hasn't changed in like 10 years its over due

All I want is the ability to place an icon on the Home Screen where I want it and have it stay there instead of snapping to the upper left, the complete opposite side of the phone from where my hand usually is. If they would just do that I would be so happy. For bonus points, let me increase the grid density.

Another year and no real Home Screen improvements at all. Just more flash, no real substance.

I much prefer under the hood, and other enhancements over an arbitrary ‘facelift’. You’re wanting change for the sake of change.

It’s not the same Home Screen as 10 years ago, as we have widgets now, for instance.

Both are not mutually exclusive... Apple can provide a facelift while also making plenty of enhancements under the hood.. i.e. iOS 7 which wasn't just a facelift, there were plenty of under the hood changes as well... Surely a company valued at almost 3Trillion dollars has the resources to work on both for their most profitable product.
