Be great if they could pick a day and just stick to it. The jumping around is a bit of a pain.
Not sure why you think it is a pain. You only need to check Settings>General>Software Update 5 times per week. That‘s nothing compared to the 5 times an hour we all check email. Also Apple release a beta when it is ready rather than when it suits us. To me quality is more important than regularity.

A lot of the bugs I encountered in the first beta were solved in the second, so that’s nice. One thing that I noticed in the current beta for iPadOS 17 is that when you’re using stage manager, if you click the app icon in the dock for the app that you have open, it will show all the windows for that app, along with a plus button to add additional windows! 👍🏻. This is so much easier than right clicking to click the “Show All Windows” button in the right-click menu.

Seems like Apple would maybe want the earlier betas out on a late week day like a Thursday, then folks have all weekend and such to mess around and find problems.. Later in the beta cycle, earlier in the week seems to make more sense so that they'd have the rest of the week to work on those issues.

I know that's not the case, just thinking out loud I guess.

It might not be today, but it will be this week. Remember, there was a point release last week too.

Skipping a week doesn't make sense at this stage of development, unless something goes wrong there's a show stopper bug.

Only suggesting the week skip because Thanksgiving is next week. I don’t recall if we got a beta last year for Thanksgiving week.
