next tuesday would be insane, it would likely push back 17.0.2 release
Given that 17.2 beta 1 was released on a Thursday, it’s not really that odd that beta 2 might also drop on a Thursday.
What is the point of a Home Screen clock widget if the time is on the Lock Screen and also in the top bar on the Home Screen? Not trying to be a jerk but genuinely curious
I’ve had the same question burning at my lips a few times but just went with “live and let live”.

It’s actually not really that important due to the things you just described, and I don’t see my Home Screen much of the time anyways, so it really isn’t a major issue. The clock widget on my Home Screen is mainly just for aesthetics. I was mainly just joking about it because it currently just shows up as a translucent squircle. It is a little visually displeasing, but it really doesn’t have any kind of practical effect at all. And no worries, perfectly legit question, didn’t think you were being a jerk or anything. 👍🏻
Because it is beautiful, easier to see from afar and has a seconds pointer. 😉

It's a way to have the time in a different country/timezone, I guess. I've not found a use for it myself yet.

I do agree that the widget looks really nice and makes the homescreen look modern and cool.

Just noticed that Fish is swimming in an “infinity” pattern, much like a figure 8. He then jumped out of the water each loop at the same point. So taking this into account the pattern looks more like a “2”.

Beta 2 today. I feel it in my bones.
17.2 is dropping today. If it doesn't, I will log off this account for a month. That's how confident I am.
I am starting to think that way also. Maybe it will still show today. Its like all this must accomplish by middle of December with the usually 2 week delay during Thanksgiving is cutting this beta cycle short with it previous had 4 betas and a RC before release.
I 100% hope you’re correct. This shifting the day around behaviour is not so good.
