It's been a bit slow for OTA availability. Usually tvOS shows fastest because of update size. The iOS shows shortly afterwards. Usually iPadOS shows about the same time as iOS, but today it took a few mins later. MacOS OTA finally showed up at 10:41 PST for me.

Sure it wasn't 10:42? :)

Are any tech enthusiasts in the know (i.e. folks on MR) still using the public beta, now that developer beta is free and open to anyone?
I think at this point, and actually for quite some time now, the only benefit of using the Public Beta as opposed to the Developer Beta is when it's released. Some folks might want that added window of time where the Dev Beta comes out and "breaks the thing", and then knowing you can hold off on the Public Beta. Stuff like that...

Ok yeah I could see that... I know there have been some rare instances where something breaks... like the cellular connection debacle a few years ago. But for the most part 99.9% of the time its the same exact build.

I would even wager to say it's the same build 100% of the time. If there's an issue, usually the PB gets delayed and then maybe even another Dev Beta gets released, and THEN the PB follows that new release. But yeah, that's super rare. I could probably count on one hand how many times that's happened over the last 5+ years or so.
