Yeah, that might be a good idea as well. It all will depend -for me at least- on how good battery life is.

IF there is a 17.1.2, it would be built off the "17.1" platform (for lack of a better word), implying a point point release would/could be better off on your battery.
17.2 (and all 'point' updates as opposed to 'point.point' updates) have different APIs and "under-the-hood" stuff going on, sometimes making it better off to again wait.. hurry up and wait, always lol
I believe you mean to say: “Based on when X.2 versions have been released in past years, I speculate that 17.2 will be released Dec 13th.”

It might be a good week all around, maybe 17.1.2 on Monday and then 17.2b4 on Tuesday or Wednesday. I'm wondering if we'll see a point.point update for macOS, too?
I’m hoping for a new beta this week! I’m not experiencing any bugs on this beta, but I’m waiting to see if there are any new little changes in the next one! 👍🏻. I think iPadOS 17 got a bad rap early on due to the quick presentation at WWDC, but there have been so many seemingly small updates, improvements, and new features so far in iPadOS 17 that make it a wonderful update! 👍🏻
guys you all know how these .1.1 or .2 releases work we won't get them till the last possible minute either wednesday or thursday. they NEVER release them on mondays
I’m hoping for new 17.2 beta today, unfortunately I’mprobably beta drop tomorrow.

I don't think they will release something on a Monday after a week off.

the fact we are getting 17.1.2 makes me feel like there could be 5 betas this year. would be a little weird to be on a update for literally 1 week
Beta 4 this week , RC next week , and public the 12th
