Correct, I was the one that posted the Email about it from Apple. Should be a quiet week! Except for the table arguments on Turkey Day

You definitely did post that. My point was that not only is the feedback support team out of the office, virtually the entire company is out so there’s no one to push the proverbial button.

Because you know that one of the more erstwhile members here would pipe up and say that your email only mentions feedback support and not the software engineers, so there’s a chance!

No, there’s no chance.

Oh I know it! We're not seeing anything, whether that's 17.2b4 or 17.1.2, until sometime next week...

*My post was more in reply to the person that said Zollo hasn't posted this week, when he did..
:)

I know all that, and I know why there's no beta here, I know Apple is headquartered in the US, my reply was to:

It's a week to get our head out of the tech and enjoy family and food.

I thought we would already have iOS 17.1.2 by now… am I the only one that was expecting it for this week?

Well, I guess it’s better to wait until iOS 17.2 with the Journal app and several bug fixes. In my experience, the versions released by holidays are usually pretty polished.

Most likely, yes. Considering the long 4 day holiday weekend here in the states, and the Email Apple sent out about Thanksgiving Break.... Umm, yeah. Nothing this week.

Absolutely agree.. I'm still concerned with 17.2 due to the amount of changes, though. 17.1.2, if that were a thing that came out, would probably be the wise bet over the holidays. From my experience, betas over the holidays can be pretty bad, especially when dealing with another extended break.

Oh! Thanksgiving! I completely forgot about it (I’m European, and here we barely know about it). We have imported the Black Friday though, but it is nowhere near as good as on the USA. On the states the deals are so good that people literally fight for the last units. We just have a minor discount for the entire week, and that’s all.

EDIT: I just saw the tweet from Aaron you previously shared.

I was thinking the same thing earlier this week, and then I realized that Thanksgiving is this week, so they’d be on break. Hopefully next week. 👍🏻

I think it was pretty obvious that it wasn't going to be released since many are off work for this week in the US. Wise choice not to release new things if you don't have staff to support if things doesn't work. Also, most companies and prob Apple to have a "change freeze" during this week.

I would say go with 17.1.2 and don't wait for 17.2, we don't know when thats being released.

Or wait until 17.2.1? 😆🙃
