We should see iOS 17.3 beta maybe end of week after next. Last year 16.2 came out on 12/13 and first beta of 16.3 on 12/15.

17.3 should be implementing new features outstanding.

Yes it's 26/27 days till iOS 17.3 beta 2 going by last two years. iOS version history

What makes it more “interesting” than any other point release? It is stated to be a security fix. There’s nothing mysterious about that at all even with 17.2 arriving in a couple of weeks.

Given the only security bugs that Apple has stated as fixed are WebKit related, that could have been patched with a RSR. So there's probably unannounced security updates and/or bug fixes in this release too.

I get what you’re saying and of course security is important. Just tired of all these iOS 17 bugs. iOS 16 was bad enough.

All web browsers see continuous updates to their operation and security improvement/fixes, such as Edge, Firefox, and so on. Safari with WebKit is no different.
