There are some features likely to be added with 17.5 that weren't able to do because of all that EU requirements.
I'm not really expecting any more "features" with iOS 18 beta just 3 months away. I think 17.4 was so feature packed because of the EU requirements... Otherwise that would have been pretty subdued I think.

Some possible rumors from geeky gadget
  • iOS 17.5 is set to introduce a Game Mode, specifically tailored to the iPhone 15 Pro and 15 Pro Max models
  • SharePlay, a feature that initially made a brief appearance before being pulled back, is poised for a return in iOS 17.5. This update aims to broaden the feature’s capabilities, allowing users to share control over music not just in their cars but extending it to the HomePod and Apple TV.
  • A new feature will enable users to effortlessly transfer playlists and music from other services directly into Apple Music.
  • iOS 17.5 plans to bring back the stopwatch live activity feature for both Dynamic Island and the lock screen. This feature, which had a brief stint in a previous beta version.

Seems about right to me, too. Usually this far along, there's little as far as new features go. Usually more security & bug fixes, which are always welcome! The expanded SharePlay options and additional Live Activity support for the Clock app was great, too, while it lasted. Looking forward to hopefully seeing that again.

Yeah, sounds pretty logical and realistic.

The Game Mode should work on the M3 iPad Pro as well… but for that, Apple had to release them first.

I’m kind of thinking that iOS 17.4.1 may add support for the new iPad Pros, and so could potentially drop sometime this week alongside new iPad Pros.

That seems sensible and lines you with Gurman’s revelations. Whether it’s this week or sometime before the end of the month is the issue

I’m really hoping for an iPad release tomorrow, (potentially an accompanying iOS and iPadOS 17.4.1 tomorrow), and the first beta for iOS and iPadOS 17.5 tomorrow.
