Do you think we’ll see iOS 17.5.2 next week?

The patch in 17.5.1 seemed a bit rushed and maybe they planned to launch 17.5.1 with more bug fixes in the upcoming weeks… so maybe a broader bug-fix update could come in the form of 17.5.2?
JMO not this soon. just my opinion but I we could possibly see sometime in Mid to late June if there is one. Last year there was not

I am running 17.5.1 and have no bugs. Are you sure it is iOS vs particular apps?

It seems to me that next week there are only 10 days left for the WWDC and if they release IOS 18 after the presentation, it is likely that they will release IOS 17.5.2, so the IOS 17 cycle is closed leaving it only to polish those errors that can be detected, so all the development will focus on IOS 18 since they have to have it quite polished for its implementation in September. Well, it's my impression, so we'll see it.

iOS 17.x should progress thru Sept. Considering the various DMA changes in the EU and other regions its very much a stay on top of it for Apple, until IOS 18 is released publicly, even then you have people wanting to remain on 17.x for awhile using patches for the next 2 years.

I agree with this. For those of us in beta world, i0S 17 is drawing to a close. However, for the 99% of other iOS users, iOS is only 75% through its lifecycle. There won’t be any significant features added (if any). Still, it will continue to be developed until iOS 18 is released publicly (and even after that, for bugs and security updates).

I’m curious, I’d like to know if it’s the same iOS team that worked on iOS 17.5 that is now working on 17.6…

I guess there’s a different team working on iOS 18 for a long time.

I will need to wait see what banking apps work, iOS 17 was the best so far to work from B1

Yeah same, hoping it’s a similar show down, but the AI integration to the software and frame work “might” be a big change and cause problems for ios17 SDK software until release.

Is a guess if things go pear shaped for apps.

I wish I had that discipline lol. I jump right in as soon as it's available. I've been burned in the past with some banking apps and streaming apps not working properly. But I would just have to go web for a bit so it wasn't a huge deal.
