As you can see in the tweet from Arron that is above, Apple usually puts the public beta release together with the latest developer beta release. I agree that it is time for the public beta release, so I expect beta 4 soon.

Well, yeah, it going to correspond to some beta. But normally (read: “always”) the public beta follows the corresponding Developer beta. There may be some uncertainty with Apple beta releases, but this is not going to be one of them.

Well, looking somewhat dim for either the public beta today (which absent the security update issues seemed likely) or a new dev beta (which was dubious).

Anything can still happen for the next 2 hours 45 minutes or so, but I wouldn’t bet the farm on it.

Regarding

We had this issue since Safari 17 first appeared with iOS/ipadOS 17 DB1 against some web pages having issues loading. The content loads but you get that animation going across the top. I guess somewhere they did something with webkit that created this issues with older Safari 16.5. Since don't see this quickly patched the following day again yet, it got to be annoying and delaying the PB with IOS 17 effort somewhat.

Update: Hah now they have a reissue of DB3 available.

No, I think it means that the build was compiled 2 more times before it passed QC. But it’s interesting that they did not increment the version number if anything new was added, such as security.
I was thinking this same thing! If it was only complied two more times on the same day? Seems odd for what could potentially be a big deal.
