Even though we're not on Weekly's yet, one could say we actually ARE due to the revised build released yesterday ;)

I was having some minor issues and now with the revised b4 release, I'm not. Whether that was just due to installing again over itself or actually having things fixed, I see this as a "weekly release" now, it's just that we all got what we weren't expecting... Next week it is...

Agreed. Like I said in the earlier you can call it whatever you want but there was a beta released this week and it involved enough changes to warrant an update.

Whether or not it improves the experience is irrelevant as that’s the nature of the beta experience, but if Apple deems it important I’m going to install it. History dictates that when they break their schedule it’s likely security related.

Next week will be 2 weeks since it was released. The rerelease was minor, so won’t delay for that.
People said that for the B3 re-release also. Wouldn‘t surprise me if the release from this week reset the 2 week counter again, effectively giving us B5 in 2 weeks instead of next week.

If PB2 didn’t come out with the re-release of DB4, I would agree with you, as that’s a different scenario to the. dB3 situation. Since they didn’t delay PB2, then I’m going with it next week.

The revised DB4/PB2 seed we got this week was just a different (j vs h) variant of the original DB4 build, so it is not exactly the same scenario. Besides, we are now going further into the beta cycle, having about 1.5 months before the actual iOS 17 release, so should be entering the weekly schedule for all betas by now. Also, as mentioned numerous times here, it is not like Apple are compiling a beta and then releasing it the next day; they are already several betas ahead, most likely. Basically, I am expecting DB5/PB3 next week and then weekly for both afterwards.

The DB 3 rerelease was also just another QA pass and no new build number… ?

It's technically 2 builds newer, and regardless of what one might think, that is two whole compile builds, just happened to be the same day. A lot can change in 2 compile builds.

Apple isn't calling it a re-release. They're calling Monday's release "Developer Beta 4"....

And seeing as though we'll most likely get Dev Beta 5 next week, that means we're already on Weekly Releases... Again, people can try and parse this any way they want, But a new compiled release, followed by another compiled release a week later, and then another the week after that... Thems is weekly updates.

Ye it‘s the second B4 release, just like there were 2 for B3.
