I am hoping for an RC sooner than later, ha. Beta 8 has been the worse for me so far for performance and battery life, and the first time my battery health has dropped (100% previously on beta 7, down to 95% now in under a week)
Agree. I was perfect through all the betas Until Beta 8. And now my battery life is crap and some heating when charging on my 14 Pro

Doesn't that imply that they are weeks ahead though? (17.1, 17.2)
No, because those are different branches. They are containing different features (enabled) but are not necessarily newer.

That is how complex software development works, you are working on different branches in parallel. And thus, a higher version can easily be older than the main branch you are working on.

iOS 17 release date? Here’s when to expect the official release.

So… the RC will be released at the event (give or take a few days) and the official release the following weeks?

I have stayed away from the ios 17 beta all together but I can’t resist any longer. So I was thinking… if I jump on the beta train today, it will be public soon and the worst flaws will only be present for a couple of weeks at most.

Am I wrong?

If iOS 17 beta 8 is pretty solid now. RC to Public isn't going to make that much difference.

Not sure I understand this "bug". AFAIK, the widget has never shown more than just my city name... even with the precise location setting on...
Same here until iOS 17 betas. Now I get location and county too. Only need town/city :)

Yea same here. Ever since we first got it, mines shown the area of the town I live in, never the street name.

If it's a "normal" year, RC will be released to developers when Tuesday's "event" concludes. Then released to the public 9/18 - 9/22.
