does anyone know which iphone models were affected by the memory problem?
interesting is iPads were affected too. iPadOS 18.0.1 mentions it as well.
My 15 PM feels much less warm/hot when using it! Good to see finally!
So good they got rid of a memory leak source!
I’m waiting for the iAppleBytes battery test to go on and install iOS 18.0.1 on all my devices. Yay!
Apple Music keeps failing, after a while of playing a playlist the app freezes and has to close or restart for it to work again
This is one of the smoothest iOS versions I’ve ever experienced. Everything works fine, no stutters and battery is also great so far.

Do you think more bug fixes are coming with a future 18.0.2 update? Or the next update will be 18.1?
The next version will definitely be 18.1 if they don’t find a major bug in 18.0.1
iOS 18.0.1 fixed my battery life issues on my 15 PM. I’ve been on the phone for about 30 minutes browsing the web and haven’t dropped a single %.
Versus after updating to the base iOS 18, I could kill 10-15% in an hour just having my phone sit there unused.

My battery usage graph has stopped populating now after 18.0.1 🤬

Clean restore, still having touch issues on my 15 PM... More specifically if I change the haptic settings, from always, never, etc. I like to silence it before I sleep. If you tap where the text is, it doesn't register sometimes. But if you tap on the big gap of space on the left it works every time
Had the same. Took nearly 12hrs to finish. After the update to iOS 18 it took a couple of days on my iPhone 13 Pro Max.
Looking at installing this and ditching 18.1b5, if I do that and downgrade will iCloud still give me all my passwords photos etc etc or will I have to start from scratch?
Still having issues with:
- Music app freezing up at times and having to be closed out. It then restarts at the end of the last song that was playing
- Mac won't read photos/videos from iPhone past a certain date and the only way to get those files onto the Mac now is through Airdrop
- Longer videos recorded on iOS 18 still hang up and freeze/take forever to load past a certain point. Only fix so far has been to process the video through Final Cut Pro as a new video
So mostly useless as far as fixing noticeable bugs in my workflow. iPhone 15 Pro for reference. Really should have saved an iOS 17 backup to downgrade with.

After a day with 18.0.1 , it is much better than 18.0. My 15 must have been affected by the memory issue.
