iOS 18.0.1 ― Bug Fixes, Changes, and Improvements

Found a bug, i guess:
I connected my VPN through the dedicated app, it showed as connected next to the WiFi symbol.
I disconnected the VPN in the app but the VPN symbol still shows, I confirmed in settings and in the vpn app that the VPN is in fact disconnected.
A reboot fixed the issue but it can be reproduced. Happens on my Company VPN as well as with other VPN Services.

Does the Battery usage is Settings tell you a particular app is using a lot of battery?
I experienced bad battery life once since upgrading, wondered if it was the Camera app but couldn't confirm.
I have a new router and it’s WiFi 6E and 7 supported. My iPad Pro does support 6E but only connects with 6 with 5Ghz. Sometimes a setting appears on the iPad about the 6E mode. It’s Auto. When I use the Samsung Galaxy S24 Ultra it connects with WiFi 7 and 6Ghz. Why?
No, there are no particular outliers. My battery just depletes significantly faster. BH did not drop, so it’s definitely connected to 18.0.1.
Really hoping to get a watchOS update. I don’t think this is …. normal
With. iPhone 14 series: 3.02.08 modem firmware update which comes with IOS 18.01 iPhone is usless with Roaming.
It’s strange. you can use cellular data in different country with roaming, browse internet etc. But You can not make any phone call , send SMS , receive phone call. When You call it’s silence nothing more. When someone call me it’s silence , I don’t see calling register. After few second I receive sms that someone try to call. I checked few SIM cards it’s the same. Those cards in Android tablet works perfect. So it’s really issue after update to iOS 18.01 and only with roaming phone calls. In the country it’s ok. I’m the only one ? Is it known ? Or do You have any idea about solution ?

This kind of issue usually isn't due to the modem but because of some temporary problem with the carrier and its roaming setup. Try a different carrier in the same country to see if that works.
Got a really weird bug all of a sudden:
- opening a photo from photo memories, when trying to edit it, the photo turns black.
- when then pressing to crop icon the photos app crashes.
Anyone else experienced this?
Edit: It’s a Live Photo. Did not get fixed by doing a hard reset , but instead of getting black right away when pressing crop it says now ”Loading” for a little while. Connected to certain photos it seems like, tried others and had no app crash. Really weird.
