At one point yes. But not each time I saw this effect. I checked because I thought that might be the source.

But that does lead me to wonder if the notifications getting the effect came in while I was in that focus mode.

Will have to see if I can replicate that.

Yep. That was partially it. It is applying the effect to what appear to be important notifications (such as a medication reminder) but not to routine notifications (a package delivery notification). It also doesn’t seem to matter if the notification is summarized or not (opens the case some, neither is summarized).

Hopefully we will be able to have some control over what’s deemed important.

Have sports live activities stopped working with the TV app for anyone? I can’t tell if it’s the 18.1 update that caused it or me resetting all settings, but it stopped working for me. And I made sure live activities and notifications were turned on.

Just noticed that tables generated by writing tools in messages can’t actually be used in an iMessage.

If a specific tool can’t be used in a particular app, that tool should not be presented.

I have light icons on dark mode on the iPad, and I notice that when I unlock the screen, sometimes the icons will quickly flash to dark and then back again to light. So there for sure still is something quirky there.

It came as part of live voicemail in 18.1 beta 1, probably due to changing the region to US fit the Apple Intelligence access.

Ah that would make sense! I haven’t had a voicemail since 30th July so this is the first time I would have seen it.

I don’t know if this was ever mentioned but with 15 Pro Max and AI Siri displays some cool info on CarPlay display like weather info (current temp, sunset, moon phases, and sports).

I have seen the temperature thing. The others are very cool! I assume you can invoke them by saying “What time is sunset” and the like?

The bubble for messages now also shows the contact poster for the sender (that was new in 18.0 b1 but I thought it worth mentioning again).

I have not. Then again I had low expectations going in. Siri still sucks (although the animation is nice), and the rest of the stuff is pretty meh tbh.

I use them frequently. The proofreading / text adjustment ones are (currently) inferior to Grammarly, which I use all the time. So unless they get much better, I still plan to use Grammarly. But the ones that create tables and lists and summaries are quite helpful. Number, item, 1, dog, 2, cat, 3, canary. It took the text in the preceding "sentence" and made the table below in one click. That can come in pretty handy.

Yea that's how you invoke them. My truck's thermometer is off so I asked what the temp was and saw it pop up on the display. So I asked a few more and that was the result. Kinda cool feature. I guess no one saw that.

Noticed that the Precipitation maps on both my iPad Pro and 15 ProMax have been incorrect whenever I checked them today.

Temp and other vitals are close to my local weather station. Just the map appears incorrect.
