iOS 18.1 Beta 4 ― Bug Fixes, Changes, and Improvements

Not sure if this was in the final 18 release because I was already on 18.1 - But…

There’s now a dedicated “spatial” option in the camera which allows you to take spatial photos and videos.

(Sorry if this isn’t new to b4)

Definitely new. They added its own separate tab. Don’t think this was necessary though in my opinion

If reboot does not resolve it, turn off AI, reboot, and turn it back on. That's what I had to do.

Developer portal updated, we now have actual downloads for the new iPhones, though I'm going to guess the "iPhone 16 Plus" link, indicator "iPhone 17,2", is actually for the 16 Pro Max. Oh, and a new Xcode beta.

Omw to download beta 4 for my forthcoming 16 Pro...

17,4 must be the Pro Max surely.
17,3 would be the Pro
17,2 maybe the plus.
17,1 is the iPhone 16.

Possibly maybe?

Update: Turns out I was totally wrong! They have been corrected now and 17,2 is under the Pro Max 🤣

My problem with imap account not downloading mails on apple mail is still not solved. unbelievable.

the same account, with the same data and same ports etc works with microsoft outlook on the same device. Shame on apple.

Clean up in photos not working correctly for me. Just pixelates what you select rather than “clean”.

I can't for obvious reasons not use Apple Intelligence on my iPhone and iPad, as I live in the EU. I could but I do not want to switch to US AppStore ID. What I do not understand, why I can use Apple Intelligence on my MBP Sequoia since b3? I have the same setup as for a region, language etc as on my iPad and iPhone.

18.1 brings call recording to all devices.

Not only can the 15 Pro now take spatial photos, but they are also Live Photos. (Although, they look a little laggy in comparison to standard Live Photos.) Is the Vision Pro capable of taking Live Photos in spatial mode?
