Anyone have CarPlay Map issues with this Beta? Haven't had any issues until this update applied. Reported it via the Apple Feedback assistant. But when navigating with Maps now I only get the route overview screen and no longer have the more detailed street view with turns and such. The Text window shows the turn by turn steps but the screen never changes.
Tested it with my work iPhone (running 18.01) and it works like it should.
Attaching a screen show from my CarPlay drive yesterday.
Anyone else seeing this?

No issues here. Try offloading the app, then reinstall. Sometimes sorts these type of bugs out. Your data is safe, it basically just reinstalls the apps software.

iPhone 15PM I noticed a significant heat on the backside next to the camera when I using the music or classic app. I tested other apps including the podcast app but no increasing heat. Changing the music quality doesn’t matter. Only to download before let the iPhone cold.
Are you listening to salsa? Try cool jazz. 😉

Has anybody seen a workaround or fix for the broken stickers feature?
Stickers is working just fine on my 16PM... are you doing OTA updates or using the IPSW?

You may want to break down and do a reinstall via the IPSW if you are having big issues such as this..

I am doing OTA.... the sticker issue is pretty widespread, so not just an issue with my build. It's the only issue I'm having and it's not really that huge for me to do IPSW tbh.

I can’t edit the Calendar widget in the sense that I can’t choose which calendars it shows…nothing happens when I tap on the option. I can tap on the mirror iPhone option which should then allow me to choose the calendar/s I want. I have removed it, tried different widget sizes but to no avail.

Anyone else? Ta.

Battery life pretty good so far? Curious how 18.1 has been rolling up so far.

Also better overall experience than 18.0 / 18.0.1 on your device?

This is one of those questions in my mind that I am not wanting to test out for myself, so I am gonna ask and see if anyone has the answer.

If I am on a beta, (18.1b6 in this case) and I delete a stock app (Maps for example) and then go to the AppStore to re-download it, will it re-download the beta version of said app or does it download the latest public version of it?

There are no beta versions of apps in AppStore. You can only test a beta app via TestFlight app by redeeming a code from a developer.

That is kinda what I figured, but didn't know if there was something hidden/special that says "This device is on X version, this is the version of the app that needs to download."

Are push notification sounds working? Is mail being fetched on the set interval?
These are the two issues I have with my 16PM and wondering if they’ve been fixed so I can switch to the beta.

If there is it will handle that without user intervention.

Unpopular opinion? I’m going to suggest that the stutters are likely due to the configuration of apps installed on a device. I’d recommend a clean install, don’t install any apps and see if they exist 🤷🏻‍♂️

Unpopular perhaps but more than likely true.
We all have our devices set up differently but I cannot remember having any stuttering on my devices in ages, if ever, memory is not what it used to be🤷‍♂️. So I’ve always assumed there is something specific acting up on the user’s device that I don’t have on mine. Even when there have been those who have insisted that every device, bar none, stutter. I’ve had an issue arise that I saw no one else mention so it’s reasonable to believe it was specific to my set up, without just assuming everyone else is too dense to see it. Now that I’ve had a minute I do believe there was a similar issue on my devices when ios 11 was released, but nothing that I’ve noticed since. However I tend to get on betas late in the game; ios 11 was a strong impetus to that habit.

It’s very much possible that there won’t be any stuttering on a barebones OS but that’s not how it’ll be used.
iOS is designed with these infinite configs in mind and a clean install should never a be solution except for extreme cases.

This was Apple Intelligence’s attempt to summarize baseball tweets. People following the postseason will know what’s wrong with this

Summaries have been good for the most part, but it has it’s moments.

When the RC comes out I’ll do a fresh install on my 15PM. Do you guys know if its ok to use a back up after it or if it’s better to start from scratch. Does it make a difference?
Backup should be fine. Been running a backup since iPhone 4s to 6 to 6s to XR to current 16 and lots of betas in between since iOS 5.0 and all been fine. (Of course a reset all settings now and then to clear up a few issues and a restore now and then) but same backup of data and apps.
