Funny thing about the RC I noticed today is that it seems to have fixed all the CarPlay issues I had in the last beta.

CarPlay now seems to work perfectly for me, it’s kind of unbelievable. Feel like I should never update again as it’s a rare thing for CarPlay to be bug free for me. Hallelujah 🙌🏻

I’veI’ve rebooted my phone multiple times, but it still feels off. It’s always warm, and when I perform demanding tasks, it becomes laggy, almost as if it’s being throttled. I hope the second RC2 is released soon. I would expect background processing to be completed by now.
Stop rebooting and let the phone do what it needs to do. It should settle down afterwards. Remember its looking at ALL your photos and other items so AI can "learn" how to access that data during the new advanced searches. Also other housekeeping processes that occur after an update.

Not anywhere near Uranus.
Not sure if this is a bug with 18.2 b1 or some setting that's wrong. This is my phone in standby mode. Oddly if I press and hold it brings up password screen and if I enter my password the clock and calander show up for a few seconds, then a little lock icon shows and it goes back to the screen that's in this photo.

Try turning off Summarize Previews for Messages. It's been improved for me between watch and phone since turning that setting off for now.
I’m actually not referring to notifications… I’ve been experiencing issues where conversation threads that I deleted on the iPhone still appear on the Apple Watch. It’s happened several times since updating.

Oh gotcha. I haven't really noticed any syncing issue but I rarely use the message app on the watch except to quick reply to a message if my phone is out of reach.

I did just check the messages app on the watch and it's in sync with my phone.

I’d also like to see new builds for iOS 18.1 & watchOS 11.1… things have just felt a bit “off” since I updated to the RCs

This RC fixed the Geekbench scores for my 15 Pro Max
Single Core: 2974
Multi Core : 7451

Overall I am quite happy with this phone. Battery life is where I expect it to be after 1 yr usage. Battery Health 94% after 208 cycle count.

So, bets that the 18.1 released today will be the same build number as the RC vs. an updated one?

The RC has been super stable for me, battery life less so…

I've had no new/major issues or battery problems on the latest 18.1 beta/RC.

Runs well on my iPhone 11 - probably because there's no AI stuff happening in the background!

Hope it’s a new one. Mine has been quite buggy with visual glitches all over.

How's performance on iPhone 15 Pro compared to 17.7? Anyone know? I'm talking about lags and dropped frames. I don't wanna update unless it's just as smooth or smoother than 17.7
