I think he was just looking for everyone’s timing of when they all received it. I’m on 5 hours now. Sometimes you don’t know if it’s an issue on the device side if the majority have gotten it on avg in 30
Min.

This thread is 220+ posts long now and probably 10% of the posts are people saying that they haven’t gotten it yet. I think that’s a pretty good indicator that it’s not rolling out immediately to everyone. Add to that that there was an explicit requirement to sign up for a waitlist. That causes me to suspect that some people on that list will have to wait.

I hate to be so harsh but it drives me crazy that people are so blasted impatient to get something they had no expectation of getting five minutes before Apple dropped the beta.

The app doesn’t install, it tries then gets a cloud icon next to the name. Still interesting
from a technical perspective, the app itself (EGS) is seeing the country identifier of your device doesn’t recognize it as supported, which is why the app never launches.

As there’s no legislation yet requiring it and Apple’s obvious intent to fight against it (even winning a court case saying they don’t have to), it’s very much just Occam’s razor: a bug is allowing devices to sideload as in their in the EU (though it doesn’t launch for the reason above).

When is Siri getting smarter. Even with 18.2 it can’t do a lot.

I have flight itineraries sent to my mail yesterday.

So I ask Siri when is my return flight. It thinks it need to handover to GPT. Then GPT asks me to give the flight number.

Should Siri already be capable of reading what’s in my email and answer who is travelling with me and when is my return flights and so on.

Or will this happen when it is 3 months for the iPhone 17 pro max release.

Very happy for the 16 Pro owners who get the camera control to handover images to google for visual intelligence.

This whole AI thing feels like a gimmick.

Image clean up does good job in detecting what needs to be removed but what it fills in the removed place is not intelligent.

Yet to play with image playground.

Disappointed with Siri

Still no image generation - tragic.

Also, whichever junior dev coded the control center customization did so out of spite. The customizer is so frustrating to use.
