iOS 18.2 Beta 1 ― Bug Fixes, Changes, and Improvements

Pretty bad without image playground/genmoji. Not even an hour off the charger and already lost 10% with normal usage.

I downloaded IOS 18.2 beta 1 yesterday at around 6:30-6:45 PM and I’ve been on the waitlist ever since. It is now 7:16 AM. I’ve been able to use the ChatGPT integration…. It’s just not as exciting as I wanted it to be. My email app has also remained the same, I’ve noticed nothing new about it
currently own an iPhone 14 Pro and an iPad Pro M2 chip. I get that the first betas are usually buggy, but jeez Apple, jeez. I just swiped down to see a news notification that reads, “Apple just released IOS 18.2 beta (the real update with all the cool features) I feel it should be renamed to, “Apple just released IOS 18.2 beta 1 (the really buggy, hardly-working update with cool Features )
I hope that when AI comes out in Spanish, all the features come together. It would be frustrating to see almost all the features released in English, and in Spanish they go into beta just as slowly as they did in the English betas and we're 6 months behind.
If Apple does this, for me it would openly acknowledge that it doesn't have the capacity to do so, or what's worse, it doesn't care about any user who doesn't speak English. To get the money, it doesn't look so much at the language and the region 🤣🤣🤣

Is anyone else getting pretty bad homescreen swiping lag at times on the new beta? Doesn’t happen consistently, only randomly but damn it’s noticeable. Almost like a stutter when going between pages. This is on my iPhone 16 Pro Max.
Is Apple visual intelligence working for those on 16s?
Mine was yesterday but stopped today. If I select google on the right I get the pictures, if I select ChatGPT on left it works.
Simply long pressing camera but doesn’t bring pictures up. Seems to be hung until I select google or ChatGPT.
Rebooting iPhone didn’t fix it.
Anyone else notice this?

🪫 🔋 Still baffles me why people ask about battery life and are surprised their battery life has got worse, ON A BETA and especially with the buggiest version being BETA 1... What do people honestly expect. Its never going to be better or can you really make any solid conclusion its going to be better, until the final release is out 🤯
Seeing some regressions in the Music app – also the Mac app is stuck on "Loading your Cloud Library".
I disabled the logging from the privacy settings – so far it doesn't seem any worse than the RC (if not better).

Don't know if I am missing something, but is there a way to re-categorize emails in mail? There are emails from certain people which I would want in primary for instance

Come across a bug.
I’m using outlook imap. I go into junk folder using built in mail app. Delete the junk, empty trash go back into junk and select display new messages and they reappear.
Anyone else notice this? Rebooted phone same issue.

I added myself to the waitlist for the newest features (ImagePlayground, GenMoji) yesterday afternoon. 20 hours later I still only get this:

Still waiting for access to Genmoji and image playground. I was too slow I think requesting it lol.
Same… I think those who got access. Did it when the initial update dropped…. I updated around 3pm and requested when finished.
And I’m still waiting.
Does anyone else have a bug with visual intelligence where the camera on screen turns sideways when you rotate the phone landscape?
