iOS 18.2 Beta 1 ― Bug Fixes, Changes, and Improvements

Requested access (Playground” around noon yesterday and still in queue 18 hours later.
Dug into my silent Siri issue and only can get her to give me a spoken response if I set it to “Prefer Spoken Responses”. Other than that it pretty much gives non-spoken results.
On phone calls (Team calls seem to be okay) if I scroll search or Safari results the screen lags like it is running low hertz.
Some good news - moving apps around doesn’t bork the layout. Removing widgets still causes apps to fall left/up.
Other news - using new default apps section. Changed Mail to Proton Mail. Changed Passwords & Codes. Doesn’t seem to be working at this time.
Logging in with personal ChatGPT doesn’t seem to be working.

WHAT!? The one thing I could reliably count on Siri for, dad jokes, is broken!

On automatic, it might be using the attention awareness stuff or it might just have to do with whether the screen is on or not. I usually only get her to speak responses when the phone's on my desk and I am not actively using it. If I can see the screen, she will just show me the info (silently). I also have my phone on silent mode at all times, so not sure if that matters.
Maybe because you have as many passwords as you do emails 😂

Can you only be signed in on one device? I signed in on my M4 iPad pro no proem bit trying on my 16PM keeps giving an error
I am currently signed into ChatGPT on both my M4 iPad and my 16PM. Do you have a paid or free ChatGPT subscription?
Maybe try deleting and reinstalling the app? 🤷🏾♂️ It opens for me with zero issues (other than a new pop-up advertising their new smart thermostat)
I agree. would love to be able to mass delete emails while in this section....possibly being added in a future beta....

No. I just created a new account with Apple instead of using my free account I created a while ago using Hide My Email. I’m signed in to both devices now. I don’t have access now to my other requests but that’s ok.

On the ChatGPT side, I was having issues signing into my paid (personal) account on my phone only; Mac and iPad went through fine on the first try. Got the phone signed in on my 8th attempt. No actual site or app errors, though.
