Someone I know did that and there isn’t a way to redownload the app
And this is why I posted this lol but I do hope it’s just a long wait list and not a bug that will have to wait until beta 2 to fix I really wanted to mess with image playground was the main reason I went beta 1 was going to stop after 18.1

So I know that this is a Developer beta, and it comes with the usual caveat of bugs I wanted to know if anyone has been experincing the bugs that I have been dealing with I have a 16 Pro Max and with iOS 18.2 beta 1, I have been having issues with apps crashing while using them, Ive also had issues with my phone just crashing and then rebooting. Also I just had an issue where all of my messages vanished and look to still be in my iCloud and Im in the process of trying to restore them. Ive experienced 3 kernel panics.

I’ve not had any issues like those. May I suggest (if you haven’t done so already) that you do a hard reset and if that doesn’t fix things that you reinstall 18.2 using the IPSW file from the developer portal?

Do you also recommend not doing an icloud restore and just starting as brand new as well?

Still waiting for early access request, and the only reason I keep mentioning it is that we have no way of knowing if those of us still waiting are actually progressing through the queue, or if something is bugged.

If I had to guess: they are stress testing either their waiting list system or the Private Cloud Compute infrastructure and are scaling up.

Of course, as someone pointed out above, it may simply be a glitch like we had during the 18.1 betas with the infinite asset downloading issue.

scaling up would be my guess. Its developer beta only - not public, and its beta 1. Yes lots of people sign up to the dev beta that aren’t devs, but apple will presumably taking their time making sure things are ready before they scale up. Server scaling can take its sweet time too (even if thats frustrating for those waiting to get in)

16 PM on 18.2, not a single issue for me.

Im not sure anyone is progressing just yet, I have not seen anyone who got waitlisted now being accepted. (I've seen claims, not evidence of it)

Also, I do think its being "kept" this way, since i've gotten the Downloading screen two times now, but it does not do anything, goes back to the Check splash screen. I'm guessing they just want youtubers and influencers to keep the buzz going and not get a bunch of people trying to break it right from the start

They also may be concerned with users being able to create things Apple doesn’t want them creating. So they may be keeping a close eye on what is being created to make sure that doesn’t happen. And they need to keep the pool relatively small to do that effectively.

I’m also still waiting too. I installed the Beta after two hours it released and submitted it as soon after that. No updates at all

The Microsoft Designer app is similar to Playground and locks out a lot of known celebrities, etc.

I think that too...They don't want a bunch of early "bad promo" like the inclusive asian n*zis Gemini generated when it stated. And you know someone is bound to ask for a bunch of nasty stuff so maybe they are just making sure the guard rails are safely installed lol.
