Does anybody else have the issue where certain apps hang for a long time on first opening them and then sometimes crash or sometimes open. I’ve noticed it on Discord, Messenger, and Goodreads. But there have been others.
I notice Mail does this. If I open mail from a notification, it freezes for about 6 seconds. It’s been a problem in iOS 18 in general.

How come that photos bug in imessage is still there? When you go to attach a photo, sometimes you have to click photos twice to open your library? This has been a thing forever

Meeeee. Annoying as all get out. I reset network settings yesterday and has definitely helped. Still testing, of course.

yes whats wrong with them not fixing a bug in a beta which is still a beta??....
Well, the bug is in 18, 18.01, and 18.1 as well as every beta of 18.2. It is not limited to beta releases and many people have reported the same broken sticker functionality in earlier iOS versions. Maybe fixing it is not a priority on par with implementing Apple Intelligence after advertising it as if it were already implemented, but it’s not a matter of “fixing a bug in a beta which is still a beta.”

I have not encountered a single issue with Stickers on the public versions or the beta. I also haven’t heard widespread reports about it. I doubt it’s a common bug many people are facing…

I’m still not receiving my NUKI matter smart lock notifications on my iPhone and iPad, and still no response from Apple after I sent them the requested extra info via the Feedback app.

Are they still working for everyone else?

Stickers have been broken since iOS 18 on my iphone 16 Pro Max and still not fixed. My stickers are fine and I can use them on my iPad Pro on iPadOS 18.1 and weren’t broken with ipados 18.

There is a thread about this on this same forum here.

How about the touchscreen issue? Has it been resolved and I know 18.0.1 was supposed to address it but it didnt for many others like me.
As far as I know they have not done anything else for that, there’s nothing in the notes about it etc

Overall, aside from the new features, would you say 18.2 works smoother and more stable, with less bugs and better battery life?
I’d say so. I’m running iPadOS 18.2 beta 3 on my M1 iPad Pro, and battery runtime seems improved, and I haven’t run into any major bugs (or any bugs at all for that matter).

It is a very common bug and it’s been mentioned many times here and on reddit.

Maybe it’s residual from running the Developer Betas? I never run betas on my iPhone, but I did run the betas on my iPad and never encountered those issues. But perhaps the issue was only present in the iOS 18 betas and not the iPadOS 18 betas. I don’t encounter this issue on my iPhone 12 running the current public version of iOS 18.1. Maybe you should try hopping off the beta train and going with the public version? Hopefully you’re able to resolve this issue. 👍🏻

Might be a stupid question, but surely that’s a problem for the app developer and not Apple?
