My 16pm on beta 2 is still so laggy. Hopefully beta 3 is better

I don’t understand what the issue is. I have a Gmail account, haven’t installed the Gmail app at all, but I get Gmail notifications and emails in the Gmail inbox in the Apple Mail app. Is there something I’m missing?
They are most likely referring to Push. The default mail app can only “Fetch” emails from Gmail. This was a Google decision, not Apple.

View attachment 2450180 Is this new in 18.3 beta? First time seeing this. Still wondering what the clear does.

Not seeing this in my Mail app. Nor is it showing in the settings for Mail swipe actions. What is the underlying mail service for emails where you are seeing that?

EDIT: I take it back. I am seeing this on some mail. It seems to be items where you can unsubscribe. Not certain though what selecting “clear” does.

So here we are with another shot at trying 18.2 beta, this time the third beta, and after doing it over the air update to it, I’m still experiencing issues with apps closing, I just had a reboot and again I just had this show up on my screen

This is on an iPhone 16 Pro Max, this is the third beta that I’m experiencing the same issues with, and no one else seems to be experiencing these issues, and this is with restoring from an IPSW within Finder and even setting it up without an iCloud restore . Everything worked just fine on iOS 18.1 so I really don’t think it’s a hardware issue. I am still submitting all of these issues as feedback so I’m kinda just lost as to what exactly is going on.
It sounds like hardware, try and go to an Apple Store to get the phone tested with their hardware test.

I'm now asking the same question to you (sorry 😉): what issues are you seeing with Mail and what mail provider are you using? I'm deciding whether to install it on the iPhone or not.

On the iPad it's still the old mail (I just installed it on my M4 iPad Pro).
Apple haven't said anything about the new mail interface coming to iPad this year...

you're just not getting them the moment the email arrives at the servers. The notification comes when the mail app ask the server every 15 minutes or so if there are any new mails. which is completely fine for mail...

Not really, especially when you’re waiting for a code or other approvals that expire in just 1-2 minutes.
Ofc, you can open the mail app and refresh manually, but those are extra steps and very annoying.

I like how you can autofill a 2FA code from email now (as well as from SMS). But I'd *really* also like it to be able to autofill from a separate authentication app like authy or google authenticator.

Bottom line: this was a Google decision, not Apple’s. So let’s drop the discussion here.
