Might be a stupid question, but surely that’s a problem for the app developer and not Apple?

Not a stupid question

This is an Apple HomeKit issue - at least how I see it. NUKI have done tests etc and can’t see any issues from their end. My ATV receives them (therefore the smart lock is sending out notifications) but they don’t appear on my other devices. I receive the NUKI app ones fine.

I’ve done a few google searches and there are quite a few posts on Reddit with people having the same issues..with different make locks too. But…it doesn’t affect everyone.

Edit: to back up my thoughts that it is indeed an Apple HomeKit issue, when I share my home with someone else they do receive the notifications when *I* lock/unlock. I also receive notifications when they lock or unlock the door. This has to be HomeKit.

Anyone else noticing their phone getting warm while updating apps manually from the Apple App Store? Even just a few of them? iPhone 15 Pro here. Wasn’t a thing for me on b2.

Yes, and it’s very very slow too, I can only update one app at a time and then I have to close out the app and go back into it. And once they update they sit there for a awhile before moving into the recently updated section, I’ve had this problem for weeks.

Public beta is out

what dev beta equivalent is it? I might update to this dev beta 3 and then flip over to public beta to coast into public release. Not had any isseus with dev beta but also feature-wise nothing major seems missing already and I don't know if I want to ride this train all the way to 18.4

The fact of the matter is that this sticker bug is not widespread. If it was it would be all over the tech pages, all the YouTube reviewers and “influencers” would be mentioning it, but they aren’t.

However we know this bug does exist and Apple need to sort it out, but as has been mentioned many times above, it will not be on their high priority list because of the number of users that it does, or rather doesn’t, affect.

I understand how incredibly frustrating issues like these are, and even more so trying to get them resolved. Affected users just need to keep bombarding Apple with feedback reports, phone support calls, whatever is needed to get it addressed.

I myself don’t have any issues with stickers, but I saw a YouTuber called Brandon Butch complaining about this issue on his 18.2 B3 video.

That’s good. And the more that do the better. But everyone affected needs to feedback to Apple too.

They are exactly the same. Pick one and just stick with it. The only difference is when they are released for testing.

Maybe it’s residual from running the Developer Betas? I never run betas on my iPhone, but I did run the betas on my iPad and never encountered those issues. But perhaps the issue was only present in the iOS 18 betas and not the iPadOS 18 betas. I don’t encounter this issue on my iPhone 12 running the current public version of iOS 18.1. Maybe you should try hopping off the beta train and going with the public version? Hopefully you’re able to resolve this issue. 👍🏻
The thing is that I’ve never run betas before 18.1 RC and I’m not on the 18.2 beta.

Ever since installing iOS 18.2 ß3 the "Clean Up" tool in photos is no longer working; it stays in the "Downloading Clean Up" forever.

Did you try to restart and ensure you're on WiFi? It somehow doesn't download over cellular. It's only needed once, then it will work.

Works fine for me on my 16 Pro Max. What have you done to try and fix it? And perhaps tell us the feedback ID in case anyone else has the issue.

Back on the beta train now.
And history repeats.

The reset of the podcast timer is now back. E.g. chose 5 min sleeptimer in the podcast app, wait a couple of seconds, select 5 min again… the timer resets to 5 min.

This was removed in 17.0 turned back in 17.2 and now again, gone with 18.0 and now back in 18.2.
„Nice“

Read today about Stickers in the Apple community forum and the chat is it was bug that shipped with ios 18 according to a Apple genius/Dev.

Erase all content and settings, then restore from a back up, is fixing the issue for many users, apparently.
