Have you tried a different email provider just to see if this is specific to your account? I'm not experiencing this in any way.
It does for exchange, outlook, and iCloud. However I don’t use any other email program itself like outlook.

Interesting. Can you try for a test to disable Exchange and Outlook, and only leave iCloud active? Then send yourself an email and see if it still happens.

I use Fastmail and iCloud, and both work fine.

Did y’all notice with 18.3 every once in a while after a week it has like the animation to open as if it was from finder when launched from Home Screen (animation opens from center of screen instead of relative icon position on HS)
I have this big since 18.0

Battery life is going crazy bad on se 2 with the latest official 18.3.1 update. Whats going on????

18.3 > 18.3.1 really dont think they fixed anything
photos app wont populate people & pets, trips, memories, etc
cant create a memory maker - its missing from the photos app

my downloaded apple music keeps disappearing and having to redownload it every day

It started working for me after I quit Safari on Mac and opened it again.
On a mac that’s essentially the same as force quitting Safari on an ipad or phone. The open tabs will then appear; same if you restart the devices. So quitting Safari on a mac will cause the same sync. Without doing that my open tabs don’t appear on any other devices.

I had to remove all my Google stuff and re-add them. Now none of my contacts or calendar stuff has added. I’ve gone into Contacts and Calendar to see if they checked and they are but won’t sync. Ideas?

Edit: hard restart > add Gmail again > now it's synced

It’s bad on my 16PM also, compared to 18.3. Thinking of going back but the security bug 18.3.1 fixes isn’t worth it.

its crazy how a security bug fix only release is wrecking havoc on battery

people will say its in their head or whatever but seems like quite a few people so far

18.3 RC to 18.3 GM was smooth battery life wise, I didn't even notice an impact. Guess im staying put for a little

Experiencing more drain than normal as others have mentioned. Even more amazing is the fact that the core functionality of the email app is still not working properly through all of these official updates. First reported in October of last year, feedback app still shows it as unresolved. I suppose focus has been shifted to AI rather than functionality of core apps.

Last two updates required me to login again on websites when using Safari. Other browsers don’t have this problem. Google even requires me to verify the browser as safe.

I gave up waiting for 18.4 betas and upgraded my iPhone 11 yesterday.

So far it's running identically to 18.3 (and all the 18.3 betas for that matter), which is pretty well considering the age of my phone.

Without any AI capabilities of course.
