If you use Yahoo Mail IMAP or any email provided by Yahoo (possibly other IMAP Mail servers), Mail won’t download in the background unless the phone is charging. Apple support has acknowledged the issue, but it doesn’t appear to be a priority as they haven’t fixed it yet.
That is both interesting to know, and annoying to deal with. I’m thankful I haven’t switched back over to Apple mail as my primary mail app, as I Intend to do. I’m still using Spark. I want to switch back for the sake of privacy, since Spark downloads and looks at all mail. Ignoring that, their app is pretty great and has made it hard to stop using.

Am I going blind or are those two very different dogs?
I have found image playground doesn’t give a damn what photo you use when it comes to dogs, it will generate a “dog”. It probably won’t be your dog, but it’s a dog. This annoys me since dogs are part of the family and recognized by name in photos. I hope image playground gives our fur family the same treatment our human family gets.

Still can’t recreate my dog in image playground. She is a white staffy with a black patch over one eye. I always get a generic dog with a patch over both eyes.
Same with my Black Tri Aussie. Just generates a generic dog after giving image playground a picture. Most times it generates what looks like some type of lab. Only way I can get it to generate an Aussie is to type in Australian Shepherd, and then it’s still a generic aussie. Honestly, the main thing I looked forward to with image playground was making goofy images of my dog. Sadly, it’s not there yet.

But if you use words to describe it, it can figure it out.

The above was the result of the prompt “brown cocker spaniel poodle mix” and it’s a pretty close approximation to my little guy. ( “Cockapoo” is apparently a foreign language word. )

What’s weird is that Apple’s own Lookup feature in Photos recognizes the dog type from an image (more or less) for this breed. So you’d think that that would be the starting off point for image generation.

All of this goes to show that this technology is still in the process of being developed. At the end of the day it’s not a big deal. Hopefully it will improve over time.

Image playground is, at best, a work in progress. I have never been able to have it make any sort of a decent version of any photo I put in. It’s also weird that it will only do the top half of a persons body. No wide angle shots or scenery or anything.

There’s a very good reason for your last issue. Your screen name provides a hint as to what it might be.

Not sure if this is a bug or not but only in message with this one person, the Audi is turned on by the red audio symbol and I can’t figure how to turn it off. Anyone?

Could someone check to see if the iMessage voice recording bug is still present in 18.3? (I’m sure it is)

• In the Messages app, start recording a voice message as normal and speak for 10 seconds or so.

• Then temporarily stop the recording by tapping the red “stop” button.

• Then tap the little timestamp to the left of the blue “send” button to restart the recording and speak for another 10 seconds or so.

• Stop the recording again by tapping the red “stop” button.

You don’t need to actually send what you’ve recorded… there’s a “play” button on the far left that’ll allow you to preview what you’ve recorded before sending it. You should find that the first 10 seconds of your audio message sounds ok, but that the second 10 seconds of the message sounds noticeably better with much improved quality.

Yep, Mail is still borked.
Badge says A, Update says B, Manual Refresh says C. iCloud mail differs between iPhone, iPad, and MBP. Updating Mail (read, delete, refill, etc) on one device usually doesn’t auto update on the others.

iPhone and AWU are both on beta. Notifications are mostly missing on the AWU.

Siri is still giving me the screen ring randomly when unlocking.

Calendar widget can take a long time to update, if it does. Same issue with Outlook calendar.

Spell and Grammar check still both suck.

In my experience all widgets take an absolute age to update and always have since their half-arsed inception. They are a complete and utter waste of time and I don’t get why they are so slow (battery I’m sure would be the response)!
