One point of note is that for all of the unread totals to agree, you need to make sure that ALL of the separate mailboxes are each set to the exact same sort method (Category or List view). That includes the ALL mailbox, and all of the separate mailboxes as well (and the option for mail notification badges also has to be set to the same)

I have to say … some clarity please.

Mail is set to List View > Priority - all set the same.
Even still, why would that affect the badge vs Updated vs Manual Refresh totals?

I am only looking at the Mailboxes screen at this point.

Are ALL of your individual mailboxes also set to List View? Each mailbox has its own view setting, and I believe the Mail app defaults each mailbox to Category view until you go in and change them to list view. So if you just change the "All Inboxes" mailbox to list view, and the other 3 that you have visible in your screenshot are still in their own Category view, you'll get some weird results with unread counts not matching.

Any mailbox that's sorted by CATEGORIES just reports the unread messages based on what it sorts into the "Primary" category and ignores the rest of the unread messages.

Plus, you can change the mail badge notification settings to show totals for ALL unread messages, or you can set it for the unread PRIMARY CATEGORY VIEW messages, which also often creates a mismatch between your badge count and the unread totals on your inboxes, unless you have ALL your inboxes set to LIST VIEW along with the badge setting, OR you have ALL your inboxes set to CATEGORY VIEW along with that badge setting.

IOS 22D5040d & iPhone15 PM battery seems to be the best so far. 9 hours Screen Active and just went below 50%.

Can we trust the numbers in settings/battery? Tks

Moved to battery forum.
In my experience we can’t as I noticed on my iPad yesterday at 2:00 AM I had 4 hours screen time 😆

Appreciate the in depth …

They are all in List view.
They are all set to Primary.

The badge count matches the Inbox count when I initially open Mail. That quickly changes when Mail updates on opening. Which changes again when I manually refresh.

The badge count mismatch has been an ongoing issue for quite a while. The Update vs Manual comes and goes per iOS update.

When it comes to Apple Intelligence, even if it is in beta, messing around with Playground I encountered this:

Test 1: Black Shiba Inu playing in the snow. Result: Language not supported. A second try had spell check change Shiba Inu to Sheep New.

Test 2: Warrior with a bearded axe walking. Result: Cannot display this result. A second try said Language not supported.

So I tried the same using Grok. See below for results.

Anyone in the UK on o2 or a MVNo using their network able to confirm if they've had "Suspected Scam" appear from a number not saved in their contact using the latest beta?

I don't have an app installed but had a missed call today and saw it underneath the number I'd missed - never seen this before, that's all.

What's the verdict on 18.3 so far? Does it feel like an improvement over 18.2 (in battery) or is is the same ole thing?
It feels exactly the same just the version number bumped, for me. I really wouldn't be able to tell if I'm running 18.2 or 18.3 without going into about section. For my use cases at least, all the same bugs and everything is exactly the same LOL

I still have issues with photo app where latest pics don’t show up when saved to device but show up under recent picture option. So photo is back to being buggy
