Do you have the mail app contact photos and category view enabled? If so, can you test with both of them disabled?
Turned it off just now. However it seems to be on by default, so I assume it’s been this way for several iOS versions. That would mean that it’s worked before with it on. But you never know. It may work. Thanks for the idea.

I see them myself in day to day usage on an iPhone 16 Pro with a fresh install as new of iOS 18.3 beta via the ipsw.

At times, iOS 18.x acts as if low power mode is enabled and the stutter fest that is.

Granted, iOS 18.3 beta 2/3 and the RC are better, there are still stutters and dropped frames in certain repeatable cases.
I wish Apple would fix their damn software! And thank you for contributing. Will be skipping any more Apple devices for the next year as I’m unsure if this is the company for our household anymore based on the poor software. There really isn’t a reason why Apple shouldn’t have better quality control when they own every aspect of the experience. #CanTimmeh
