Setup camera control activation to 2 clicks instead of once… worked for me.

Way too early to say. So far it works.
Only had issues with the new Siri as you might see in a lot of other postings in this thread.
 
The deleted photos album finally lets you delete or recover all photos with a single click using the two new buttons that appear on the screen. It also lets you select photos by clicking on them and in this case it will delete or recover only these photos. They have also added a menu to configure the view. This is the most useful change for me in iOS 18.4 so far haha

Well, "new" is pushing it, but as I don't have a home hub but do have a device running iOS 9, I'm not updating.

If anyone finds a way to remove the badges, please let me know. For now, I've disabled Home notifications (which is fine, as I don't otherwise get any) and will remove the Settings icon from my home screen.

Same issue. It insists I update and turn on iCloud for it on all my devices.
For now the red badge can stay until a way can be found to remove it.

Not that it’s that huge a loss, but... is Genmoji still “ruined” in 18.4? I got Beta 1 and went back to 18.3.1 after a few days, so unfortunately can’t confirm/deny on my end.

You see it began adding random concepts/actions to my prompts, ironically making it harder to find one I liked for a given description! I’m aware it’s probably a feature, but please PLEASE implement this as a toggle or something instead! I’ve also gotten totally unrelated/random suggestions due to this.

CarPlay

Appears to be busted at the moment.
Ford Edge ST - Sync 4

On the phone it just pops up the CarPlay window with a nifty little spinning wheel on the screen while my Edge patiently waits …. and waits …. times out.

Guess I will be deleting and adding back to my Edge. 🤞🏼

I'd "Forget this car" on the phone and perform a Force restart.

If the issue is it’s still downloading, it would be nice if it isn’t ready yet to like say, “Still downloading Apple Intelligence files” instead of silently failing.

I'm going to make floppy tacos, also known as pancakes (British style ones - like a French crepe, kind of) as it's Pancake Day!

I find it weird that you can’t activate Visual Intelligence, Image Clean Up or Genmoji without changing the Siri language to a supported one. Why can’t it be to different toggles. Don’t care about “smart” Siri.

maybe the article on the Frontpage needs to be changed...

"iOS 18.4 includes a dedicated Apple Vision Pro app, which will show up on your iPhone if you have a Vision Pro headset that's also connected to your Apple Account. If you don't have a Vision Pro, it can be downloaded from the App Store."
The last part might be a bit misleading... but wait, it suddenly popped up on the Appstore (Link in the next post).

So far, no issues. Very smooth.

I had the old Siri for a few minutes, but it was because Apple AI needed to download some files again and I wasn't connected to power.

You have to be on power and WiFi for AAI to finish downloading. Once completed, new Siri was back to "normal". Still sucks for an assistant, but have the pretty rainbow around the outside again. :)
