Mail notification summary is mucked up.

“Citibank Double Cash Card benefits; encourages more credit.”
Actually was three notifications all from different banks. Summarized :(
  • Citibank - 5% on Amazon purchases
  • Chase - reminding my bill is due end of month
  • Discover - trying to entice me into using their services and checking my credit

Shakes head …” When are they going to get this right?

Mail notifications still silent (as per previous beta) despite settings for mail sounds being correct.

My plan is: toggle everything off, back on, change the default sounds etc and rebooting each time. Maybe this will end up fixing it. I'll update when I've received enough emails to check 😁

Push email working again for me.

I thought it was just me, this was so annoying.
Now I'm confused. Which is it? Is it working or not. Because not getting email notifications for the last week has been problematic.

I get notifications every time, but without any sound. Latest MacOS beta is doing the same now - notifications work but come in silently regardless of how it's configured/set.

Well, its running on an AI system, which Apple barely has any real control over. Let's not forget that they are hard-coding AI prompts into their OS to try to get it to spit out a result...:D

Like this, for example:

I'm assuming this is also why they've pushed back their updated Siri to some undetermined date. Not really sure how they're going to "fix" it, since this is just how LLMs work (or don't work, depending on your viewpoint).

Doesn’t seem to be any major improvements from 18.3.2 to warrant updating to this beta. Will wait for final release. Hope they keep improving it further.

I finally just turned it off. Not worth the extra battery or chip cycles. Image Playground is garbage. I have my genmojis saved. Siri is garbage without ChatGTP and, at this point, I'd rather just use the Ask Alexa app. Get answers much faster! All just crap until they figure out how to enhance / replace Siri.
I just use the ChatGPT app as it’s better than the new current Siri in iOS 18. I like how I can track what I’ve looked up for past reference too on ChatGPT, whereas Siri doesn’t offer that.

Hopefully iOS 19 makes it worthwhile to turn it back on. I really don’t see a point considering the extra battery cycles being used in the end as you said. It all adds up at the end of the day. Glad I didn’t upgrade to iPhone 16 series for this 😅

Are we now at a stable point in this 18.4 beta cycle? How’s battery drain doing?
All fine. Can’t say anything bad about it.
15 Pro is running smooth. AI stuff totally new now with 18.4 for me in germany. Not too exciting but fun to try it out
If you’re open for beta testing, feel free.

Would be nice to have the ability to use Grok instead of ChatGPT. Just like having the option to use different maps or email providers/clients.

Does phone mirroring requires both WIFI and bluetooth? Tried it with just WIFI and it wouldn't work, which I found to be weird.

Hi. Does anyone can confirm if the screen flickering was resolved or still happening on this beta?
Thanks.
