This beta has been pretty solid on my 15 Pro. The first beta in this cycle caused WiFi to constantly disconnect and reconnect over and over, even in areas with strong signal. I downgraded back to the official release. This wifi issue is now gone for me. Push email is working again.

So like others have said, still no mail alert sounds in this beta. What is interesting I get mail alert sounds via my watch and Mac (15.3.2), but nothing on my iPhone (when not wearing the watch) and my iPad. I also have categories off in mail on my iPad and iPhone both running beta 4, if that might make a difference.

Same experience for me.

When I use iPhone Mirroring on Mac and I try to open Feedback Assistant, I have to log back in with my Apple account every time. Simply opening it on my phone does not create this issue. I guess this is still an iOS bug...?

Are we now at a stable point in this 18.4 beta cycle? How’s battery drain doing?
15PM with 90% battery health here. Normally, for every hour of active use, my charge level drops 10 to 12 percentage points. I consider that very good.

On this beta, I've used my phone for just over an hour since taking it off the charger and the battery level has dropped from 90% (my charging limit) to 75%. So, that's a bit more battery drain than I normally experience, but it's only been 20 hours since I installed the beta, there's surely still some background processing happening. I'll be able to better judge battery life after a few more days.

Regarding stability: I'm a basic iPhone user; most people on Macrumors forums use their iphones in more different ways than I use mine; so, if there are problems, others are more likely to spot them than me. But FWIW, 18.4b4 is running very smoothly for me, so far. No problems.

It's time for you to avoid the beta “arena” 😀
I've gone through all the betas until this one, maybe the next one will be the rc version. They're all good for me and the battery life very well, but the biggest problem is that YouTube videos don't work well, they always load only poor quality videos, I'm still waiting for the problem to be solved, but it's still there.Maybe stable version fixed or no.Battery life still 100% after all betas with 80 cycles

All good so far! No need to be worried lol no battery drain and performance is good. Not come across any issues to report yet either 😆

I just use the ChatGPT app as it’s better than the new current Siri in iOS 18. I like how I can track what I’ve looked up for past reference too on ChatGPT, whereas Siri doesn’t offer that.
You can login with your ChatGPT Account in the settings of Apple Intelligence. So you can track what you looked up with ChatGPT over Siri in the ChatGPT App. Only a workaround but for now a way to use both, ChatGPT with Siri and the ChatGPT App.

That YouTube bug is also in iOS 18.3.2 - it’s not just this beta. Might actually be a YouTube issue rather than an Apple one, hard to know.

Does phone mirroring requires both WIFI and bluetooth? Tried it with just WIFI and it wouldn't work, which I found to be weird.
Not really weird if you think about it. It needs to be "close" to your Mac and without BT and only Wifi how would it know?

My Face ID has been getting stuck “loading” and I have to put in my passcode. Didn’t experience that with the other betas.

I agree that it might be a YouTube bug, but might it not also be a consequence of ISP interference/throttling?
Well it could be but I’m on a completely different ISP than anyone in the USA as I’m in Ireland and I’m still getting the issue. This makes it more likely to be software related.

I’d guess that Apple fixed something in the networking stack that’s not playing nice with YouTube.

I bet YouTube or Apple have a fix within the next week.

Stupid bugs seem to be part of daily life these days. I didn’t realise how good things were when they ‘just worked’.

It's strange that this has been going on for so long, I still think it's a beta bug. Hmm. 😁
