Is this “Improve Location Accuracy” option new? I also don’t remember even seeing it or turning it on.

Also, did Optimized battery charging stop working for anyone else?

It’s not a bug, it’s intended I believe - Apple would say „it’s not a bug it’s a feature“ 🤣🤣🤣
Seriously it’s a bad design choice ! I really dislike it - thinking about deleting every sticker 🙄
It has to be a bug because why would they still have the setting? Switching the setting to "off" does nothing. The only thing I can think of is that they will remove the setting and permanently keep stickers in the emoji keyboard because without stickers "on" you cannot access genmoji.

I just now read an article saying that RCS is available for Orange France since 18.4 beta 2 . Can anyone here check this ? I don't do betas...TIA

It's been available in Orange Spain and many of its sub-brands for a long time. I find it strange that it took so long to activate RCS in its home market.

How can it be this bad, how can a $trillion company ship such obviously faulty software?

I'm quite frustrated. I missed an important email today, seriously almost threw my iPhone across the room.

If there was ANY other reasonable option, if androids and PCs weren't so creepy and awful, I'd sell all my apple gear and never look back.

It's WAD - working as designed - we had the same on the Beta 3 thread answered.
It refers to the drag and drop of stickers, not to switching them "off".
It was your question answered there too - maybe you missed it

Genmoji are working fine here.

You can login with your ChatGPT Account in the settings of Apple Intelligence. So you can track what you looked up with ChatGPT over Siri in the ChatGPT App. Only a workaround but for now a way to use both, ChatGPT with Siri and the ChatGPT App.
Kinda defeats the purpose and why I just use the ChatGPT app and use the action button to use it directly. Hopefully Apple makes Siri better eventually, I have hope 🤞🏼

Same bug persists, where instead of appearing the name of the carier, it shoes it's number ID. Annoyning!!
Have you tried resetting network settings? That way it’ll delete your carrier file and redownload it. Only downside it’ll delete your wifi passwords too and networks you’ve previously connected to. (Unsure if iCloud restores them upon reboot, but to my knowledge they don’t).

Settings - General - Transfer or Reset iPhone - Reset - Reset Network Settings.

Worth a shot. Good luck! If not, next beta or RC build might be out next week and it’ll fix it hopefully.

That's usually a carrier/SIM issue. Are you using a physical SIM or eSIM? Can you ask your carrier to "reset your SIM"? That usually fixes it.
I'm using an eSim. Well, I can try that, yes, thanks!!

Try'd that. Didn't work!!

Mail notifications with sound working fine here on my 15 pro running 18.4 b4.

Thanks. I did see that and replied that whether on/off, I have the same drag and drop functionality. So if it is working by design, then the setting itself does nothing and will probably be removed eventually.

I’m wondering if people haven’t chosen a notification sound for mail, it defaults to no sound.

You also have to make sure Favourite Mailboxes is enabled for sound notifications too - under Customise Notifications
That doesn't exist on my phone.

Did you mean "Primary"?

I'm convinced all my settings are correct, as I've not changed them and prior to the last two betas I had sound notifications.

But for the avoidance of questions ... under Mail / Customise Notifications I have "All Unread Messages" selected and - even though it's not necessary as it used to work without it - "Primary Inbox" notifications also set.

As I mentioned in an earlier post, the notifications work perfectly apart from a lack of sound. Turning sounds off, changing settings to a different sound etc have all failed. I'm 98% sure it's a beta problem. Maybe 99% 😁

Hm.. I figured most people used Spark or Superhuman by now. They're both so good!

In all my glancing at the updates Apple has introduced to Mail with iOS 18 and macOS 15, I haven't been swayed at all to make much use of it

Superhuman is so FAST, and all the new AI tools inside of it (especially for Mac) - make it by far the best email client I've ever come across. Yep, it's worth every dime
