iOS 18.4 ― Bug Fixes, Changes, and Improvements

Still no audible alerts for mail notifications. For those who are saying no issues with mail alerts, are you getting the audible sound for mail, or is it just that emails are now arriving in the inbox properly? Also, talking about stock mail app only on iPhone. Audible alerts work fine on watch and macOS.

I’m getting Audible mail alerts on the stock mail app on iOS.

I’ve randomly seen that over the years with the native mail app. Have reported it with screenshots; don’t believe any were marked as fixed.

If it’s sporadic and they can’t reliably reproduce it they won’t bother.

I’m getting Audible mail alerts on the stock mail app on iOS.

The randomness of this has me baffled. All others on my account are also not getting audible alerts, despite proper settings. Curious if somehow it’s a carrier thing or perhaps something to do with intelligence. Apple has previously acknowledged, but this is wild that it works for some, not for others. Glad it’s working on your end.

I now always get the second medications reminder 30 minutes after the first reminder, even if I mark the medication as taken beforehand. This is not how it’s supposed to work. The second reminder is only supposed to go off it the medication was not marked as taken.

Same. It goes from bad to worse. Their software really is utter dog !

Maybe try deactivate it and restart and after that activate it again?

An issue that’s only arisen for me since updating to 18.4 on my iPad is that the favicons on favourites don’t always load. They look like the attached screenshot. Completely closing Safari from app switcher and reopening the app fixes the issue.

Everyone’s experience differs. I was very happy on 18.3, but am less so with 18.4 over the last few hours I’ve had it installed on both devices.

I have removed, forgotten, reset, re-paired etc.

It seems like 18.4 is more smooth to me. Less lag and crashing on my 16 pro max. It is early though so we shall see.

Thankfully doesn't happen to me (iPhone 16 Pro and AirPods Pro 2). Even after installing the new firmware for the AirPods.

I’ve had it for a week now and haven’t seen any performance issues crop up. Silky smooth for me except for the new lock screen notification animations

seems like the final iOS 18.4 on my iPhone 16 Pro Max isn't as smooth as it was before, home-screen and browsing seems laggy, stuttering. anyone else experiencing this?

Why have you stayed on iOS 17 until now?
Expect the mail app I think all public versions of iOS 18 have been pretty stable.

Genmoji isn't working for me right now. It never understands what I say, and it doesn't even recognize people anymore. Image Playground doesn't understand anything either. I tell it I want a sunny landscape, and it creates a smiling dog. The weird thing is that during the beta cycle they worked pretty well, but when RC2 arrived, everything went to hell. I've tried enabling and disabling Apple Intelligence, but it's no use. In the end, not even the little bit we have works.

I Need some help. On my 15PM I Got the New siri but it doesn’t Talk to me anymore.

Bevor when I Said - hey Siri, I Got a audible reaction and after I órdered Siri to do something it told me what it is doing. Now I only get Text notifications whats going on.

Any help?
