Nice one! The Pro is even bigger now 😄 install 18.2 and report back here 🤣🤣
Yeah 6.9 inch its too big for me ..I don't really have a pocket where I can put it unless it's in a backpack .. it's damn big, although someone's much better than mine, but that's what I decided ;) Well, try it and I'll wait for feedback.. maybe I'll start "my beta era" again 🙂

Too big the 16PM 😄 I wouldn’t want anything bigger than my 6.7” 15PM! I’d probably go for the Pro now the screen size has increased to 6.3”. Enjoy!

I would love to see the 6.9 in my hand, in 3 years with iPhone 19 Pro Max then 😂😅

I keep reading how some people get great battery life, while others don't. It feels like Apple is probably doing some kind of a/b testing and given how much this affects users maybe they should have asked for consent.
I haven't had such a poor experience sincethe days of iOS 16, where on a new 14 I was barely netting 4ish hours of sot.

I left a comment in another thread about battery life which could be linked to iCloud (because I did a fresh install and have a sneaky behaviour since years).

In few words, my battery is ok (compared to similar devices) for lots of use like Youtube for long period or standby mode during night but I can lose quickly x% of battery with small fragmented usages. Don't know why.

For example, few minutes ago I was at 33% on my iPhone 16 (fresh install from scratch last week) and I dropped to 28% after having done 2/3 tasks (safari, scanner pro, whatsapp) during less than 15 minutes...

Does anyone here have this behaviour ? Am I worrying for nothing?

Just to throw in an explanation, scanning documents usually takes a hit on the battery and makes the device warm.

Yes but this "feeling" of using few minutes my phone and losing 3/4% is not new, it's often and with light usages.

It's strange to lose as much in a few minutes as in 1 hour of continuous YouTube!

Do you ever think "Oh wait ! What did I do to waste so much battery life in such a short time?"

After back and forth with support and eventually engineering, apparently the battery drain some of us (or at least me) have been experiencing is not considered abnormal. (Launch day 16pro on 18.1)

Over 14 hours I drained about 70% of my battery with just over 3 hours of screen on time and 1.5 hour background use (6.75 hours of background time was mail while charging overnight)

Still feel like something is wrong. But engineering has called it quits. Not sure what else to do. Has anyone had experience in this?

I know this is the iOS 18 sub-forum but just to explore the posible explanation of being an Apple’s server thing, I’ll share my battery drain (with no activity on the smartphone) on iOS 17.6.1, which was supposedly a good release battery-wise.

I have a 15PM 256 GB and I'm on 18.1----I went through all the 17.XX betas last year and this year the 18.XX betas.
However, on 18.1 battery life was much better for about 3-4 days, now it's horrible again. I swore that I would not go back to a beta, but I'm charging my phone mid day again---I'm used to being at 75% by 4PM not 45%.

How is battery life on 18.2 Beta 2? Stability? Heat?
