This is the problem, Apple has been solely focused on integrating AI into its products, neglecting to address bugs and performance issues in their current iOS builds. I have low expectations that this issue will be resolved, as the company’s primary investment lies in AI.
It's been a problem for a few years now. Lots of small bugs that make using iOS and macOS frustrating, and take forever to get fixed, or not fixed at all.

I agree to some extent, but this year is different because they’ve introduced AI. That’s what they touted during WWDC and in their marketing for the new iPhones. Incidental battery problems are not a priority for them, if they even consider them. This doesn’t directly impact their revenue. AI is their money maker this year.

In the past, the focus was always on delivering the promised features. While bugs would have been on the list, they weren’t a top concern. However, that’s not the case now.

I’ve been actually very impressed by the battery life on my 16 Pro Max. Regularly getting 3-4 hours more than my 15 Pro Max under the same conditions. I’m on 18.1.

Wow ! I get between 6-7 1/2 hrs SOT with my 15 PM
But your 9 hrs are freakin wild!

1 day 4 hours and 73% down

Incredible stuff, decent amount of YouTube usage in there as well

For me I have found my AirTags drain battery ... FindMy shows as running 24/7 ... remove AirTags and the drain seems less and FindMy does not show. No idea why as I do not recall them using this much battery in the past.

True, but selling the AI hype that comes with an OS that is too buggy to enjoy, will eventually catch up to them IMO. The “test in production“ model that was Microsoft for years, is not the way to attract customers when you have to wait for the x.5 release for iss to be resolved.. the last major releases didn’t settle down until the .5 fixes.

Oh I whole heartedly agree. I think it’s a real shame.

My iPhone has the worst battery life I’ve ever experienced.
Device: iPhone 15 pro
Doesn’t even last more than 5 hours on a single charge.
