iOS 18 Battery Life Thread

Without playing much - read over 6 hours ebook. And still 46% battery - gaming is killing the battery !

Threads like this always exist and always puzzled me. Battery life in most of the cases isnt related to iOS but just with an aging battery. Yes, there could be some weird behaving apps going rogue after an update (especially old apps), but the way iOS manage apps in background most of the time prevents this. In theory a new iOS with newer functionalities could be more demanding for “older hardware”, but Apple’s SoC are usually so powerful than even after 4/5 years they are up to the task with the latest iOS version.

People like you always puzzled me. Have you even read one comment? As most of as complaining about bad battery with iPhone 16 pro/ pro max … so what battery aging you talking about?

This comment makes no sense to me. There’s nearly 50 pages of people discussing this issue and how there’s something causing lower battery life, all you have to do is read. Secondly, if it had to do purely with an aging battery, why does my battery life get better when I downgraded to iOS 17? There’s clearly some bug that’s causing this.

Yeah I thought so too, but nevertheless it’s good to know that my phone is completely fine and only the game is killing my battery !

I can’t that’s why it doesn’t matter at all to me the 18.2 update and I will stay at 18.1 for a while i think. At least till its released official 😅

We’ll see! I didn’t install beta 1 but apparently beta 2 is much better! I can use AI on my 15PM. See how it goes! 😄🤣
