Tipically, I don't like seeing it. lose 20% battery with fragmented and small usages....
Is it normal ?

iPhone 16
SOT 1h38
Battery -22%

I have noticed something stupid.... If you open 60 applications in a row, the graph will tell you 60 minutes of screen time (so 1 hour).... even if you did it in 2 minutes.... And it's not even corrected afterwards !

I have a 15PM 256 GB and I'm on 18.1----I went through all the 17.XX betas last year and this year the 18.XX betas.
However, on 18.1 battery life was much better for about 3-4 days, now it's horrible again. I swore that I would not go back to a beta, but I'm charging my phone mid day again---I'm used to being at 75% by 4PM not 45%.

How is battery life on 18.2 Beta 2? Stability? Heat?
No heat at all so far, although just upgraded on PB last night. Was surprised with how quickly the upgrade went on both the iPad and the iPhone after the prep, maybe goes to show the difference between 18.1 and 18.2 isn't that big?

Forgive me for forgetting, but did you have heat or battery draining before the update to 18.2?

So, here’s what my day was like yesterday. I woke up at 4:10 am and went to bed at 10:30 pm. I’d say this is better than my previous days, but it’s still not what I expected after watching the keynote for the 16 pro. It’s certainly not what others are seeing here. If I could drain this battery completely, I’d probably be looking at around 7 hours of screen time, maybe even 7 1/2.

Not that bad and not that good at the same time.

I'm on Beta2 on my 16PM. Although I'm a light user, the baddery life has been bonkers!o_O I've only dropped 12% in 36 hours!

Am I right in saying becuase it's a Beta, not all functions are fully operational and pulling full power? This is just something I've heard a few times on here.

Meanwhile, my 16 Pro will drop 12% in 36 minutes 😂😂

I want to update to 18.2 beta for better battery life, but it also seems like it’s a mixed bag.

I believe that if Apple were to have actually rectify the issue with the idle battery drain, we would likely see the 18.1.1 update to incorporate these fixes. However, if this doesn’t happen, I have low expectations for those of us who have been experiencing battery problems since the inception of iOS 18.

They could be prioritizing getting all the Apple Intelligence features ready for an earlier 18.2 launch this year, so no time to prepare a point release. MacRumors posted that the newest beta addresses battery life concerns but I can't find anything about that in any of Apple's release notes.

This is the problem, Apple has been solely focused on integrating AI into its products, neglecting to address bugs and performance issues in their current iOS builds. I have low expectations that this issue will be resolved, as the company’s primary investment lies in AI.
