So for context, the past 9 days I've been using "low battery mode" 24 hours a day in order to get some performance, which resulted in 3-5 hours of screen on time in some cases. However, as we all know, that mode disables ProMotion, email fetching and other features other than making the phone slower than usual. Today, I decided to use my phone as intended - without that low battery mode.
As you guys can see, half of my battery flew out the window in exchange for 1 hour and 7 minutes of screen on time. The only 'crazy' app I've been using is Discord, and even so, only for 43 minutes.
Tired of this BS, I reached out to Apple Support, I went through the chat (which took forever), and finally some nice lady from support rang me up. She remotely connected to my phone and went through some options (I had already checked), such as Auto-brightness, background refresh, etc. I also mentioned (as I have also done here), that I've installed fresh versions of iOS 18 many times without restoring a backup. We went through my APPS (which are only 27) and the lady was puzzled and speechless.
She clearly understood that this is something wrong, but as for her understanding, at a software level. They ran the diagnostics and (as expected), nothing showed up.
She told me to not use the low battery mode for the next three days, to take screenshots of my battery chart each day and that she'll call me up on Thursday to check.
It's funny because she was very puzzled to see such poor performance, but I've been living like this for quite some time.
That said, I'll do what they told me and post back here with whatever news I get on their behalf.
This is the iPhone 14 Pro on iOS 18.1.1
