Let’s hope iOS 18.3 solves those battery drain issues that some of you, especially on A18 devices, are experiencing.
Beta 1 of 18.3 has not solved them. Maybe later on in the beta cycle.

Don’t have that beta either still on 18.2, but yesterday evening within 2-3 hours went down from 95% limit to about 25%. Anyone experienced this?Beta 1 of 18.3 has not solved them. Maybe later on in the beta cycle.
Screen active time is important.15PM + IOS 18.3 B1 getting 16 hours + before needing a charge. Is that about average?

That’s really great battery life!!!!15PM IOS 18.3 B1 version 22D5034e.
My battery on 18.2 has been terrible. It'll drain a percent every few minutes on WiFi. So 18.3 doesn't fix this if I update?Beta 1 of 18.3 has not solved them. Maybe later on in the beta cycle.

Tempting me with a good time.Actually the past week has been rather good on 18.3.

Y’all is the visual intelligence taking a toll on the battery in 18.3/18.2? I heard from a few 16/15 pro folks that they were experiencing battery drain in both beta and regular release. That’s right! It didn’t add any big AI features, so there is any items to worry about bugs. It’s been a rather smooth beta 1.

👍 that’s still good though. Was wondering as certain intensive apps or features might impact your battery health.Any of the AI features used for a length of time are a massive battery hit. I have used Visual Intelligence a number of times on single use cases (as I assumed the intent of it) with no real battery hit.

I used to play Roblox and other games like slots on my previous iPhone 7, but once I saw my iPhone started to slow down and the unexpected shutdowns a few times I had to stop playing it and deleted these apps. It was on iOS 14 back in the day, it brought the battery health down to 60% so fast… and now it is at 53%. On my XR now on I avoid downloading games that rely on so much graphics and power from the processor, and if I need to play Roblox I use my laptop with top notch graphics card and specs instead. Planning on keeping my next iPhone longer until unsupported.
Unsupported iPhones, like those before the 15 Pro, struggle with advanced Apple Intelligence features, such as writing tools, image editing, and Siri, due to processor demands. Even with AI hacks on older models, supported devices like the 15 Pro or 16 Pro run the Type to Siri and intensive apps more efficiently. Battery degradation is notably worse on older devices, especially when using graphic-intensive applications, as seen with my iPhone 7 and 5s, which experienced shutdowns and battery drain. They remain on their last supported iOS versions, 12 and 15, respectively.Yes, anything super heavy on the processing side of things is going to take a massive hit in battery and its health. I think the image playground is the most taxing on the battery of any of the AI features right now.
I've turned off the AI stuff just to see if battery improves on 16P but looks like didn't make much difference. Something else is draining the battery. Nothing abnormal is showing on the battery page.
I noticed that bug many years ago. Not sure when it started exactly.Guys, I think there’s something wrong with how iOS is adding the minutes in the settings app…
The sum of each bar manually is 313 minutes, which is 5.2 hours.
iOS thinks the total sum of the bars is 4h 29m…
Why?!
I have made sure this is not an error on my part, I’ve tested this over multiple different days and made sure I’ve not made any mistakes
