iOS 18 Beta 1 ― Bug Fixes, Changes, and Improvements

Not too many features available to test out at this point - most of the interesting stuff (ie. AI-related) is slated for either later this Summer, Fall, or the ambiguous “later this year” - which can bleed into next year, as has been the case in the past.

Beta is running relatively smoothly, considering the minor changes thus far. I haven’t found any major show stoppers, and besides the occasional graphical hiccup, it’s rather solid. I’ll hold off on the app customization until more devs have time to update theirs - looks really bad with a mix of dark and light.

It's just clearer, better designed. I never even knew you could do shared groups before this, for a start, as it's tucked away in a menu, that not many people likely go into on the iOS 17 version.
 
Has anyone determined if the call recording feature is active in Beta 1? Thanks.

By the way, the hidden apps feature is beneficial for individuals living in or planning to visit China, as the police will have the authority to search anyone's phone starting this July 1st.

VPN toggle in control centre!

Ok, it’s in the sub screen for the network controls but it’s there and much easier than going into settings. This is one of the things I really wanted

It was pretty hot after the update but cooled down quickly.
I like the new control center and dark app icons.

Similar here, XSMax ran well with it, checked many apps and found them to be working fine, so then hit update on the Mac, and now the 15 is running it.
Installing on my AWU2 atm.
 
Can someone on beta check if Turkish keyboard support for QuickType, swipe to type, is added finally? It has been promised in WWDC 2022 but never added since then!
