The new control center looks amazing!
Man this iOS 18 update is really everything I wanted and more. I’m not gonna update to the beta until the Apple ai features get added later this summer as I’m most excited for those.

I feel what you’re saying, Craig needs to understand something. We should of had a beautiful vision os style update with depth like the leaks said; this looks like a child designed it
Tried the tinted app icons thing……it looks comically bad. Also it won’t automatically change the tint based on the wallpaper when changed

I’ve run into a few that snap back (after messing up the icons of course 😁)
UPDATE: When expanded they expand up to the next size or down to the previous size. They are not scale able. The ones I had snap back did not have a smaller or larger size to move too.

Mine are there (Carrier, VOIP, and Teams) and I can now do a proper search of the history 👍

Like I said, once you get split screen, I bet you won’t be happy still.
With the icons being free to place anywhere, and changing the icons, it brings a fresher look, and more unique for people that tint their icons whatever colour they like.
Seems like you want a huge cosmetic change, for the sake of change. Which is just pointless.
Every year you say the same thing, but you always seem to end up diving in. It’s like Groundhog Day with you.

Have to check them but the list on mine is now shorter - some missing. Except for Outlook all of my MS Office widgets are missing.
Did notice as I scrolled through the list, the scroll was choppy.

They weren’t leaks, they were fakers seeking attention.
The mock ups I saw, just don’t look like it translates well to a mobile device/tablet. Maybe it’ll happen in a couple years and if it’s good, I’m happy to be proven wrong, but I’d bet you’d still have gripes even if you got that design….
I just want a new fresh feel, that’s it. Also I want new ways to use my phone that would help day to day, they could be better multitasking etc. also I know I’ve said about removing the home bar I just think it takes up pixels I don’t need, it’s in the way when playing games. I feel the whole colour tint just looks weird, maybe your right and I’ll never be happy lol but I’m just honest, there’s nothing now making me feel wow I need to try this now. I haven’t felt that way for years unlike the old days. But if you guys enjoy it then that’s great. I love the macOS icons I just wanted that on my phone that’s it
Anyone spotted the new torch animation to select the power then also the width of the beam!?
I tried them, gave it an hour to get used to it. I just couldn’t and reverted back to my old set up. I like that the idea is there, maybe just needs some more time in the oven.
Yeah, I turned off the new "large" mode after a few minutes.
Anyway, as I can't get my IMAP Mail account to work, and nothing I found so far was particularly exciting, I'm restoring back to 17.5.1. I'll wait for the next beta.
EDIT: Restored. Banking apps/wallet were a pain in the arse, but everything else was smooth.

I think it’s only a bug for some, haven’t seen it on my end after a clean install.
Assuming the Siri improvement is later on as she is still dumb as a stump.
Annoying change; asked Siri for the current weather and she gave me the temp with a pop up weather widget (temp only) on the Home Screen that just sat there. Was hoping for the current weather, not just the temp.

So are there no AI features at all then yet?? Even changed my language to English US and still the same old Siri
What ‘new ways’ do you want? Other than split screen multi tasking, I mean, as that seems to be the only suggestion you come up with.
We’re getting some new ways with the Apple Intelligence features for a start.
The Home Bar won’t go away, as it’ll be the way to instigate ‘type to Siri’. The changes to the app layout and change the icons can be classed as a fresh new feel, whether you like them or not.
Like I said before, mobile OS’s (iOS & Android) are mature platforms now like how desktop OS’s have been for a long while, so you won’t get drastic overhauls for the sake of them, as there’s no real reason for it, other than for the sake of it - it’s all about refining things. It’s like desktop OS’s. Windows & MacOS have basically looked the same for like 20-odd years now, just minor refinements.
