Shouldn't apps be supposed to change their icons to light/dark mode together with system dark/light mode?
System changed to light mode this morning (its set to auto) but icons remained dark even that in the customization menu from homescreen its set to "Auto". Am i doing something wrong or is this a bug?

‪This is all well innovated Applebugs, that has been in development for years, and they couldn't be more proud to share them with us all!‬

It's a bug in beta 3 that this whole auto change does not work always.

Interesting that the Microsoft icons that are primarily white aren't being configured with a dark mode icon.

Control center rearranging is driving me nuts. I try to move one thing, and the whole screen goes crazy, and it refuses to let me put the item right where I want to.
Little better than in Beta1 but still extremely annoying

Installed B3 via OTA (IPSW was nonfunctional again)

Emoji seems to have disappeared for me. When I tap on the little smiley face to take me to the emoji keyboard, the “keyboard” is blank. The little “search emoji” text box on top of where the keyboard usually is also does not bring up any emoji search results.

I’d put a few sad and disgusted looking emoji here, but I can’t.
Did you ever figure out how to get the emoji keyboard back? Still missing on mine. I've mooted countless times, removed the emoji keyboard and ut it back. can't get it to show

There seems to be something wrong with Shortcuts app automations running in background. Not executed for me twice today.

I have water intake daily set at the same time of day - 8:30 daily and it did nothing there today morning.

Same happened with smart outlet - when charging and iPhone battery is 80% it should send the trigger to Home Assistant to turn off power - nothing was triggered nor executed because I don’t have logs in HA…

Said automations steps work when triggered.

Checked now with notification to pop up at set time - notification worked. Really Weird.

Using quick menu on the App Store or Safari won't let me slide up the pop-up menu from long touch. Been this way since beta 1.

Just me?

Had to put my iPhone 15 Pro in storage and use my 15 Pro Max on Beta 3. Couldn't charge my 15 Pro last night because it would just restart itself about every 5 minutes while on the charger. No issues with the 15 Pro Max while charging.

It would appear iOS and iPadOS are handling the dark icons very slightly differently at the moment. One app I use, called Play (for saving YouTube videos), goes dark on iOS but not iPadOS. A minor point.

I really want to go find a place with a T-Mobile dead spot here and try satellite SMS/iMessage.
I was actually on a mission trip in the middle of nowhere two weeks ago, and had the satellite icon show up in the bar. I tested it by sending a message to my wife. as soon as she regained signal, the message came through. So it definitely was working for our T-Mobile phones.

Anyone have issues with the received Mail "ding" not playing? Previews show up just not sound on this beta for me. Happened in 17.something before. FB14249413 Received Mail - no sound

It seems to be randomly appearing and disappearing again. I’m not sure what is continually triggering this bug but it doesn’t seem to be isolated. I had emojis an hour ago, about to check as I write this response aaaaannd… they’re gone again.

Anyone else facing those problems?

UK account - Mac 18 beta 2, iPhone 18 beta 3

1. iPhone Mirroring not working.......I can see the new iPhone Mirroring app on my Mac but there is no option on iPhone AirPlay & Continuity → iPhone Mirroring. So, I am unable to connect.
2. Voice Memos app can transcribe the note when recorded in Voice Memos app but if I do a voice memo (which uses Voice Memo app) in Notes app - there is no way to transcribe it.
iPhone mirroring working fine here.

Transcription in notes app was working in beta 1 for me - though it did seem a bit funky - as in it takes a little time to show the transcription. Now the one test I did on beta one isn’t showing the transcription anymore and new one isn’t doing it either. Think they broke it.

Also UK account.

As you successfully tested this, I have a question: did your wife get the message as an SMS or an iMessage? And did it show your number as a sender, or are they using some "gateway sender"? I'm just curious how they implemented this.

In iOS 17 and earlier versions, you had the ability to add a non-widget widget. Alarm.com and an app called Usage had the ability to add a static type widget not like the current ones. I can't grab a screen shot of course because I've updated. But it seems as those can't be added any longer. Sound right? Anyone else seeing this too?

So this is on the Today Screen which I guess is no longer, right?

Update: this is Legacy Widgets and it appears as though iOS 18 has dropped support. ugh. I used my Alarm one all the time.

Can someone confirm if the storage bug is still present in this beta before I decide to jump into iOS 18?

Settings > Notifications > Mail > Customize Notifications > iCloud > Alerts (Turn on)

Sometimes iOS updates might turn that off.
