iOS 18 Beta 3 ― Bug Fixes, Changes, and Improvements

Found cause. VPN was turned on after download and the VPN WAS BLOCKING the internet.

I have Cricket and have been able to use RCS with a Google Fi and Verizon customer on Android.

it will not be encrypted. Apple has said that. The encryption being used is something google added. Apple said they would only do encryption if it was an RCS standard and not something google cooked up by itself (sarcasm mine :)

Has anyone posted this? When sending to a group of iPhone and Android users (set as SMS & not RCS) an attachment like a picture just hangs but they are sending? See the green bar at the top? But she did reply; it’s above the pic.

I really wish people would quit this misinformation. RCS uses TLS and ipSec to encrypt messages in-transit, mentioned in section 16.3.3 of the GSMA published specifications. Google's extension is in addition to that functionality.

Had this happen today with a link I sent to an iPhone/Android group and it said "Not Delivered" but they both still received it and replied.

Since yesterday I have an error when trying to install iPadOS 18 beta 3 from beta 2 on my iPad pro. Anyone have this issue? At first it takes forever to find the update and when it does and try to download it, it will show the message that an error occurred and the update couldn't be installed.

It would appear iOS and iPadOS are handling the dark icons very slightly differently at the moment. One app I use, called Play (for saving YouTube videos), goes dark on iOS but not iPadOS. A minor point.

Google Translate works. I’m only running into the issue in Safari.

Update: Issue in Messages also. Maybe others. Google translate stuff works for me. Apple’s is broke.

just activated wifi calling on plus! thx for letting me know, didn know it is present but u need to pall them to activate

This is still not fixed for me. Anyone else? Has had this issue since maybe iOS 10.
