Surprised that Apple didn't drop the PB yesterday after DB 3 on Monday. If I remember correctly, they release the PBs one day after DBs. You think it'll release next week?

I think for the first few it comes closer to a week after. As the cycle continues it gets closer to when the DB comes out. I would guess next week.

Yeah good point. Can't remember the cadence last year.

So you think we'll get DB 4 along with PB 1 next week? Or just PB 1 with the same build number as DB 3?

With what my friend is reporting battery life-wise, I'd hope we get another beta out before the masses come (I haven't been able to verify myself yet as B3 dropped right before my two days where my phone would just be chilling on a charging stand all day.)

Yeah my battery life is taking a hit with DB 3. Was a bit better on DB 2. This is all expected because we're on beta software so I'm not complaining. I just charge it when necessary.

A few times the Mail app has only shown unread mail, even though there was no filter on or anything. And sometimes it’ll show that I’ve got more emails than I do.

Anybody else have dark mode set to sunset to sunrise and doesn't activate? It's 8:30pm and my phone still hasn't activated dark mode. Had to activate manually

Mine usually kicks in about 5-10 minutes after sunset.

My Mac takes like 20-30 min.

So, the Dick's Sporting Goods app will not let me log in. The famous 'oops something went wrong. Try again in 12 hours.' Hasn't worked for 2 days. Uninstalled and re-installed twice. Is this an iOS beta issue or them?

No way for anyone here to know. Just log it on the Unworking Apps thread (Or see if its already there)

The worst thing happened to me today
The alarm clock didn't ring in the morning and I was late for work
I thought the problem was with me and that I didn't hear the clock but it turns out that the problem is with the new beta version of the iPhone because I set an alarm just now and it just didn't ring. It turned off the clock by itself in the clock app without touching or moving or looking at the screen.

I performed a hard reset and it fixed the problem.
I hope that this problem will not repeat itself because in the end I will be fired.

I know people hate preachy replies (and this is not directed at you but using your post as a useful podium). This scenario is why users should consider long and hard before using the betas on their primary phones.

What if a missed alarm, rather than causing one one to be late for work, caused someone to miss a flight for an important business trip? Or if the health app failed to notify that person of an over-fast heart rate that it did notify about in iOS 17? Or GPS failed causing a user to get misdirected on the way to a hospital to see a loved one on the brink of death.

These are all extreme, yet entirely plausible, things that could happen.

Looks like Mail app is working correctly and syncing mail is working flawlessly and doesnt get stuck.

Im carefully optimistic, this looks promising. Getting sync stuck in beta 2 was infuriating, looks like Apple fixed it.

Must wait a few more days before I can say that its fully fixed.

Shhh...it just got stuck for me.

Of course, you have reported this as a bug with the feedback app?

Just another example of what can go wrong when running beta OS on a mission critical device — especially the early betas. YMMV.

Didn't someone post in one of the iOS 18 threads that showed a timer countdown with seconds included in Dynamic Island? If so, how you do turn that on? I can't figure it out. thanks!

DB2 was the worst for me thus far. Today is my first normal day with 3, so we'll see how that goes.

And I get it, we're early adopters. It's just kind of hard to call a green bubble a wall hugger when our phones are doing the same.
