Isn't that what Beta 4 should be for?

Otherwise why not just release "iOS 18 beta" over and over again until Apple are happy with it. Grr.
I think the intention is that developer beta 3 will be public beta 1. They probably saw something they didn’t like in DB3 (v1) so they decided to update Developer beta 3 so that the two builds would be exactly the same when the public beta is released in a day or two.

Would it survive conversions to other formats, though? I exported it as HEIF and saw the same thing.
Image format should only affect to the image compression, EXIF data should remain the same, but there are exif info viewers that you can modify or delete them

I think I found a hidden feature in iOS 18, particularly in the Maps app. I believe it's an indication of what's to come for the native Maps app on visionOS.

See my tweet to learn more
The parallax it’s there since the beta release of the feature

Thanks.
Right now it is set to HE, 24MP, ProRAW Max, ProRes HDR. Phot Style is “Standard”.
Pretty much default I suspect since I did the update view iPSW and haven’t adjusted the settings.

Here is an example of this from yesterday. Had a storm (Arizona Monsoon) coming in early evening and the clouds were dark grey with the clouds in the center being white. Took two shots; one stock and the other at 3x zoom. Focus on the clouds. They both looked as described on screen when looking pre-shot and you can see how the shots actually came out.

One of the reasons I don’t use my 15PM as my main camera.

One thing that Ive learned for using iPhone camera is that it hates clouds, blue sky is fine but add a few clouds there and you got a mess to deal with. And even if you edit that cloudy sky photo you just shot it makes the clouds look really artificial and non-authentic. But everything else turns out usually great, if you just dont point your iPhone to the clouds.

Comparing Safari/Darwin date/build are identical. Be nice if there was something changed?

Weird.

If DB3 isn't ready for public beta, then instead of sneaking out a revised version with no release notes, they should release DB4 and base PB1 on that. Seems odd that Apple would handicap their development process just to keep the same numbers as a previous iOS release. But whatever - they don't care what I think :)

I'll skip this and go to DB4 when it comes out.

Edit: This new let's-annoy-adrian beta is around 360MB in size. The PB has to be full-size, so it's not even going to be the same anyway.

I'm quite happy with DB3 from last week and don't want to rock the boat updating during my trip. Would there be an issue skipping the re-release and jumping right to DB4 when I'm back?
No, none. The downside is that it may contain fixes that are useful for you, and it's quite a small update. For example, if you use the Apple Store then it could be worth a try.

Apple did this before (i.e. re-released a beta while refusing to say why or what's changed) and I ignored it out of spite until the next proper one came along :). No issues.

Cool - thank you!

I already had to wipe and restore to a fresh install of iPadOS 18 due to a bad installation of one of the earlier betas. My iPad was draining 1% every few minutes and 'system data' climbed to 600gb. All good on iPadOS 18 now, so it was something with the installation. That's why I'm weary.

Navigation bar in Safari still randomly disappearing, when opening a new tab and tapping the search box.

Seems like Beta 3 (and revised) is just bad in general.
Beta 2 seems much better, do you guys experience this too?
I am still on Beta 2 that’s why I am asking.
Better wait another 1-2 weeks for Beta 4 hmm?

Beta 2 was HORRIBLE on my 15 Pro Max, beta 3 is much better.

The biggest annoyance in beta 2 was when sync in Mail app got stuck, and there was no solution for it. But Ive heard that people in beta 3 still has this same issue.
