Does anyone know when the 18.1 beta will be available for public beta?
Sorry if this has been asked and answered
I have not heard or saw anything yet. I jumped on the free developer account with beta 3. Which I haven’t had any major issues with.

Hmm how does one do that? I assume one can switch back to public once the public one comes out?
I would have it on my daily driver so can’t have too many issues

Sorry don't know if it's talked about but in the apple event about removing backgrounds and things you don't want is that software related or do I need the iphone 16 for that?

Visual Intelligence is only available for iPhone 16 series with capture button
I don't think they've actually said that. Considering the rumored SE is supposed to be AI ready I don't think it will require the Camera Control. We'll see if it appears on other devices in future betas.

Yep, along with some Macs and iPads as well. Not exclusive to the 16.
Some Macs? All the AS Macs offer a minimum 8GB of DRAM. It's this Apple Intelligence memory requirement that shows how deficient Apple has been with not future thinking with iPhones and IPads. ;)

Let’s hope iOS 18.1 beta 4 comes today. 😁
You really have to wonder by now if Apple instead is waiting for after the public release of iOS 18 on the 16th to give us iOS 18.1 beta 4 so it can also be offered as the first PB for PB testers interested in trying out Apple Intelligence features? Now just because I post this I hope I jinxed that prediction and it arrives today. :D

The A17 Pro and A18 chips are nearly identical, and they both have 8gb of ram. So it would be lame if they didn’t just add the functionality in the camera app on 15 Pro. The fact that the 15 Pro is seemingly getting every other Apple Intelligence feature makes me a little optimistic.

There are still a lot of people on Intel Macs. They are not getting it.
