Just got the beta updates selection back in software updates. It has one option: off.

I’m on 18.1 as well…. Mine shows 18.0 beta options. I can’t remember if that’s normal or if it showed 18.1 in there before….

Well today I bid a fond farewell to watchOS 9.6.1. I've stayed with it for this long to maintain the dock but as I am upgrading to 18, I will have to update my watch if I want to be able to pair my phone and watch. Thank you, 9.6.1. It was a fun ride!!

On my iPhone 13 the dev and public beta option keeps turning itself off. I’m guessing they are telling me I have the latest. The RC.

When reading an article in Reader Mode, there is an option to have Apple Intelligence summarize the article for you.

One thing that still kinda bothers me is that in order to see summarization of a URL content you must use reader mode with Apple Intelligence 18.1 beta seeds. So in this regard AI is acting like a word processing overlay of just a single online source.

As a comparison, if I using Brave browser and do a search string that resembles a question like what are the main characters of popular anime as an example. The browser matches present the first match as a summarization based on your search parameters, instead of you opening multiple matches to locate the same summarized information.

This shows that initial AI is not an ideal solution of a knowledge navigator yet for Safari 18.1, and like we need to wait to see what SIRI 2 brings.
